I've had way too many dash cams - I have this need to upgrade whenever I see a new feature or better design, so I've had quite a bit of direct experience with dashcams for several years. Always seems justifiable for me as dashcams are one of those things that you hope you never really need, but when you do, you want it to be reliable and high quality. With all the recent scammers out there, I really wanted to upgrade the quality of my dashcam. I did have a 2 channel set with a rear facing camera, but only 1080. Seems like no, more than ever, higher resolution to distinguish license plates is as essential a feature as anything else, so I went with this 4k set. I'm not a ride share driver so I didn't really see the need for the interior camera, but I see it as a bonus feature as you just never know when you'll need it. This particular installed really easily, and that's not just because I've grown accustomed to setting these up. Probably took less than 30 minutes, and that includes careful cable management. The supplied cables are plenty long and reach to the rear of my sedan with plenty of length to spare. I resolution is an obvious upgrade, even at night. The app is intuitive, simple but has all the settings available to tweak the essential features and customize the quality. Connecting is a breeze, have not had any connectivity issues. 👍 -Well design & appropriate size -Doesn't block your windshield. -Excellent adhesive stickies both sides -Sufficient cable length -Simple app installation -Excellent quality front camera -Fair quality rear camera -Excellent quality in night. -Ability to capture voice inside or outside -Great cable management clips provided. -Amazing packaging and on time delivery. 👎 They need to work on these: -No internal battery powered. -No option to pick bigger storage (limited up to 256 GB & it doesn't give you at least 24 hrs recording). -No display screen to make sure captured or not, not reliable. -Not real 24 hours parking mode (thats just an advertise). -Must use the app on your phone, If you wanna record while you are driving, you have to go to your app, turn on the wifi and start to recording, which is not safe. -It's not turn on/off recording button & feel comfortable. -If you don't download the video you will loose it forever. Even if you recorded before. -You can't access to your videos if you turn off the car or if the wifi is off.... Just Imagine, you go to Starbucks in drive thru, turn off the wifi, use your phone's 5G internet to pay or earn star,... and got accident, you will loose the video's because wifi was disconnected.
