Purchased for teen daughter. Had difficult time deciding on size. Sometimes she wears a 9M, but other times a 9.5. Many reviews said the narrow really fit like a U.S. shoe size medium. I ordered a 40N and they are a perfect fit. Actually, better than expected because Birkenstock shoes usually look wide and loose when people walk in them. I am a 7.5-8 in regular shoes (and a 7 in flats) so I ordered a 38 (7-7.5) but should have ordered a smaller size. I thought it was a good fit at first but then my foot settled in to the shoe and there’s half an inch to an inch of space at the back :/ I also think I should have gotten the narrow width as that may have helped my foot stay in place more and not go allll the way up to the front.
