Even trying the old-fashioned trick of putting an open container of regular baking soda in the refrigerator & freeze, the ice still started picking up "freezer smell." when I moved into my apartment the cleaners used some weird cleaning agent to clean the fridge and it left a nasty scent that can only be described as bleach mixed with mold. The RV had not been opened up for a while. It smelled a little musty in some areas. Including the fridge/freezer. Popped some of these open and left them for a couple of days and poof! No more musty, damp smell. I like that these are packaged differently to maximize the surface area and baking soda exposed to the air without spilling.
