This is my second rice cooker the same model and brand. It last for years and cook the perfect rice in 15 minutes. Works better than a lot of pricey rice cooker. The best of all, the price is unbeatable. Come with a steamer, measuring cup and scoop. Read more
Excellent rice cooker, I really liked how it cooks the rice. Read more
I've been remembering Bill Clinton when he said "Well, that all depends on what your definition of 'is' is." With this 14 cup rice cooker it all depends on what Aroma's definition of "cup" is. Turns out their definition of our standard 8 oz cup is "3/4 cup", thus making their 14 cup machine an actual 10 1/2 cup machine. I'm belaboring the "cup" thing because if a person uses the std 8 oz cup to measure rice and water when using this machine, you will end up producing large clouds of steam and a big tsunami all over your counter. So always remember to use Aroma's cup. Or perhaps we should call it a cuppie? Cuplet? Beyond this, the machine performed well. I did get a small amount of rice burning on the sides of the container. It wasn't so badly burned as to give any off flavor the entire batch so I merely scraped it into the serving bowl with the rest of the rice and served it. Nobody noticed it. The liner cleaned up with no problem. One must remember to treat the non-stick coating very gently because it in just not very resistant to scratching. This is disappointing because there are some non-stick coatings around that are incredibly durable, so why are we blessed with this one? Probably because it is cheaper than dirt and using a better coating might add as much as .25 to the cost of the unit. I gave this unit 4 stars for overall performance. I'd give their engineering department or whichever department is responsible for the coating choice 2 stars. Read more

For 6 months this was just as nice as our old Salton Rice cooker. We bought this one because of the nice color and a nice price. It worked great then all of a sudden for no reason it started turning itself off after a few minutes. Not a nice thing when you start your rice cooker and then do other chores expecting to have ready to eat rice when you come inside from doing chores. Tried everything to get it to stay turned on but it comes down to a poor quality switch build. Carefully read the warranty before you buy it. You must pay to ship it back to the company then pay a $20 fee for return shipping. That brings the price up almost as high as buying a good cooker in the first place. The one thing I will say nice about it is the teflon cooking bowl is really nice and it is the same size as the old Salton cooker I thankfully never gave away. Once I decide on the color we want I'm just gong to paint the old Salton and use the teflon bowl.... I the long run it might have been worth $20 for a teflon bowl for my old cooker- I tell myself that just to keep from getting mad that I bought a POS that lasted long enough to be out of the return window. There you have it. Save yourself the headache and buy a quality cooker the first time. Read more
My son bought me this rice cooker for my birthday. Love it! Use it weekly. Mostly for BBQ chicken tenders and baby back ribs. Versatile. Light weight and easy to use. Really like the deep bowl the food goes in. Easy to clean. Read more
