ASD LED 32 Oval Flush Mount Lighting Close to Ceiling Light Fixture 3CCT Dimmable Energy Star ETL Listed

This LED fixture is an exact style replacement for the light we installed in our kitchen during a reno 14 years ago. The old fixture used 2 Circline fluorescent lamps, chewed up a lot of energy, and required replacement of the lamps every 18 months and a ballast replacement. Enough was enough! This fixture STYLE is moderately difficult to install because the flat surface extends way beyond the ceiling junction box where the wiring is connected. Strongly consider doing this with a helper, a lot of patience, and some care to avoid detaching any wires in the process. The new fixture itself is very, very bright. 3,750 lumens is the equivalent of almost 5, 60 watt incandescent bulbs at 800 lumens apiece, all in one small space. The color temperature is switch selectable on the fixture, which means you should decide before you button up the project. We chose the middle color temperature of 4,000 Kelvins, which might be equivalent to a "soft white". We found the other two settings to be either too amber or too harsh. Turning on the new light caused us to scurry around our kitchen with cleaning supplies! LED light behind a diffuser is very even, very probing, and will show up all the little spots and splatters that we could not see because the older Circlines had dimmed. We think that problem is now behind us. We plan to install a dimmer on this light (a Lutron Maestro to match the other dimmers in our kitchen) and give ourselves the option to cut back the lumens when appropriate. Overall, this is a great value. The maker decided to forego smart-stupid stuff like remote control of the color temperature and instead put their effort into a better LED driver module and better LEDs. Read more

Replaced a fluorescent light of the same size. The flourescent lamp was somewhat dim. Of course the mounting holes were not the same. No instructions came with this light fixture but it was not hard to figure out. It is amazing how bright the LED fixture is compared to the old fluorescent fixture. This does have a switch to change the lighting from a more yellow colored light, to a bright white light, or a combination of both. I have it on the bright light. The media could not be loaded. Started out good but now the light is flickering, I replaced the dimmer switch to high grade LED compatible dimmer switch and still flickering. Very disappointed!!! Read more

Can’t think of anything that I don’t like....things to like: three switchable brightness colors, works off standard or dimmer wall switches, excellent light dispersion, nice modern lines, relatively easy to install....glad I bought it. ****a follow up: this light performed wonderfully for about months, then failed….bummer, but these things happen occasionally….the good news is that when I contacted the company, they responded immediately which, in my experience, is pretty unusual….that’s my reason for writing this follow up….the company stood behind their product & have already shipped a replacement….I give a big “thumbs up” for the product AND the company behind it**** Read more

Bought the light to replace a fluorescent of the same light that was 10 years old. The new light could not be just mounted to electrical box like the old one could. Had to mount to ceiling but the mounting anchors were less than adequate and I had to replace them. Also used slightly longer mounting screws. Unlike the last light this light requires 2 people to install as the electrical connections are on the back side of the light. But - the light itself once installed looks great and is very bright. We have it in a laundry room and used the second setting. Would buy again - just make sure you have a helper to install and have better mounting anchors and longer screws. Read more

Lamp trim ( fixture pan ) came damaged . I used it to light the laundry room , so no big deal. The instructions were poor for the parts it came with. Keyhole slots did not have opening wide enough to feed screws thru fixture key hole slots. . Slot opening was same from one end to the other. I would by again. The lamp itself is great! Read more
