These boots are exactly as described. They look nice and are very comfortable. I normally wear a 7 to 7 1\2 in shoes but based on some of the reviews I went up to 8 1/2. I have a high instep and sometimes boots without side zippers are a little difficult to get on. These are fairly easy to get on with a little tugging but fit perfectly once they're on. I bought these shoes because of the price, I wanted a stylish pair of Chelsea boots and loved the look of these. They are beautiful and a good quality, but they’re really super uncomfortable after walking a bit. I wore them for two days straight and walked (casually through the mall) about 1-3 miles total over the weekend and my feet were KILLING me. I had to buy $25 insoles to make them comfortable which of course makes the boots almost too tight. My other concern is that I didn’t take them out for any romp in the woods, just a casual mall walk, and they already have visible marks on the boots, so I’m sure hiking with them won’t be recommended. I don’t think I’ll use them for gardening, as they’re stylish and I don’t want to ruin them, but I’ll use them casually for a day out. Overall, for the price I think they’re decent enough, but after this I think I’ll invest in a higher quality, albeit higher priced, pair of boots from MerryPeople or something. These are awesome boots! I love love them. You can dress them up or down. I purchased the black. They fit well and aren’t too wide in the toe. I have never liked that look. I can wear them all day and my feet aren’t screaming. I usually wear size 9 shoe. I ordered 8 1/2 and they fit great. For the price they are a great purchase. Read more

I got these for a 2 week trek across Ireland. They are not the most comfortable boots, but are not uncomfortable either. I wore super cushy socks and did wear them for pretty long treks - I didn’t get any blisters or sore feet. I wore them to a cave hike on the beach and the water was a few inches deep in some areas and even though I got splashed a few times and water did get over the elastic sides, my feet stayed dry and warm. I have a pair of $160 Olukai booties and ended up wearing these more often! These are GREAT for the price. They’re actually fairly cute and stylish which is fun - I didn’t feel like a frump.
