These are great pickleball shoes. I’ve had them for 1 year, and I’m replacing them with this same model. I play pickleball 6 to 8 hours per week (outdoor courts) and the soles are now wearing out after one year. That’s really good for that much usage on outdoor courts. I was previously wearing running shoes, and they would only last 6 months before the sole was worn out. These feel very stable (the strange shape of them actually serves a purpose :) ). At first I thought the stiff material was strange, but now I know it’s for stability. It does cause feet to sweat, but that’s a small price for no injuries. Like most shoes, the insole in these is terrible (just thin light foam) and should be replaced. I’m not docking a star for this because it seems all shoes are like this (even expensive ones like this and even expensive Brooks and ASICS running shoes). I always buy a new pair of Dr. Scholls “Active Run” insoles for every new pair of shoes. They provide more cushioning and midsole support. Read more

I like the comfort of Brooks shoes but the soft soles wear out too quickly when I wear them to play pickleball. I bought these court shoes because the soles are harder and should last longer. I only use these to play pickleball. They are comfortable but I prefer to wear my more expensive Brooks shoes as a daily shoe. These shoes are a good value for the money. The fit is true. Read more

Not just the worst tennis shoe but worst shoe I’ve ever owned. I love the gel resolution 9s but even though the outsoles were still good, the padding and comfort was shot. The 9s required zero break-in and fit great. Now with the x they are like boats on my feet. There is so much damn room everywhere - around the heel, around the toes, and in the middle. I’ve put about 9 hours on these and they still aren’t broken in. I don’t know how they went so far off the rails. A few people complain about the 9s being narrow and they make these heavy, extra roomy, and uncomfortable. I wish I could get my money back at this point. Now I need to find a new company and new shoe. In the last five years I’ve never come across a 9.5 shoe that doesn’t fit. Length-wise these are fine but this is a wide shoe. If you have wide feet you might be ok. If you don’t, run away from these. What an expensive disappointment. Read more

These felt clunky and uncomfortable for me on court. Very stable, but bulky, and the fit around the toes didn’t work for my feet. I ended up injuring my baby toenail, which I’ve never had happen in other tennis shoes. Not a good match for my foot shape. Read more

Great for pickleball. Holds up to heavy use. There is a popping sound when you first wear them. Great traction. Read more

I love the Gel-Resolution 9, the prior version of this shoe. And while this updated version is just as well made and appears to have significant thought and engineering put into it, I'm not a fan and have returned them. Downsides versus the version 9 are less ventilation, a higher opening on one side of the foot that may rub on the ankle bone (depending on how you are built), even heavier than the already very stout version 9s, stiffer than the version 9s as well (probably requiring more break in), and a complicated lacing system. Upsides: seem larger across the arch area, which may have benefitted me. Same quality build. Read more
