I have used a few different water based lubes for toys that I am comparing this Astroglide product to. I started with the thinner water based personal lubricants from LubeLife and then Shibari. I was generally satisfied with both of them and based my reorders on price. I eventually decided to try the gel from Shibari and then decided to switch over to Astroglide to give the brand a try. I'm glad I did. It is at least of the same quality as the Shibari gel, but I found the form factor to be much better. The tube makes it much easier to squeeze out the right amount. When you run low you can still get the gel out since you can store the tube with the applicator at the bottom. I found it difficult to get the gel out of the Shibari bottle and the problem got worse as the quantity got lower. I often ended up squeezing too much out because of the difficulty. While the personal lubricant has it's advantages, particularly for male masturbators, I prefer the gel for anal play. The gel won't quickly slide down and off like the personal lubricant. They both can get a little sticky as friction builds, but I find the gel to be longer lasting. I also like the gel because it doesn't leak. I often store the lube in a drawer on its side and if I forget to close the top, or it opens up as products shift around the personal lubricants will leak. I moved to storing them in bags so they don't leak over everything, but that only solves the problem in part. I hope you don't have the same problems. I think both types of lube are great. It's just OK. It's very sticky and dries quickly, requiring more frequent reapplication--sometimes at inopportune moments. It also leaves a residue that doesn't wash off easily. There are better choices out there, including the liquid version by this brand. Read more

I have used this brand of personal lubricant many times but this was the first time trying the gell version and I'm not happy at all or is my lady we both were so not good and well doubt we will even use it ever again and will go back to the regular liquid version I bought the gel dueto I needed it like next day and thenfehular stuff would be a few days to get but though must be pretty much the same given same manufacture right?
