As someone who values both smart design and great ambiance, I've tried a fair share of projectors that ended up being more hype than help. This little astronaut galaxy lamp is the real deal—it feels premium, works flawlessly, and has totally transformed my space. First off, the design is awesome. It’s a solid, good-looking figurine that adds a cool touch to any room, even when it’s off. But the magnetic head is what really makes it stand out. You can point it wherever you want—ceiling, wall, you name it—and it stays put. No wobbling, no fuss. Just a super smooth way to get the projection exactly where you need it. And what a projection it is. You get two layers: super crisp green stars, and this beautiful multicolor nebula that swirls slowly. They can work together or separately, which is perfect for setting different moods. Sometimes I just use the stars for a clean, starry-night look. Other times, I go full nebula for that deep-space vibe. The colors are rich and dreamy, not cheap or blurry like some other projectors. It’s also packed with options. There are five brightness levels, so you can go from a soft nightlight to a full-on room filler. Five effects, too—from totally still to gently moving. My personal favorite is the slow pulse; it’s incredibly relaxing. And the 1- or 2-hour auto-off timer is a lifesaver for bedtime. I set it and forget it, knowing it’ll shut off on its own. All in all, this isn’t just a kids' toy or a party gadget. It’s a seriously well-made, versatile light that’s perfect for relaxing, focusing, or just making a room feel special. Whether you’re into stargazing, need help winding down, or just want a unique decor piece, this astronaut delivers. Highly, highly recommend. Read more
This is a great night light. The head (projector) is magnetic so you can take it off (there's a cord attached so be careful) and adjust the angle of the projection. The "stars" can be on constant, twinkle or off and it comes with a few different options for the color. There is a timer function as well for 1 hour and 4 hours for those that don't want it on all night but just to fall asleep to. Can't beat the price either. Read more
My little one was having a hard time falling asleep - always afraid of the dark and needing the hall light on. We tried a few night lights, but nothing really clicked. Then we got this astronaut star projector, and bedtime is now the highlight of his day! He absolutely loves the design. The Little sitting astronaut is so cute, and he likes that he can tilt the magnetic helmet to "explore different parts of the galaxy." We use the remote to pick colors and switch between stars, nebula, or both. Most nights we do green stars and a slow color fade on the nebula. It makes his whole room feel magical, not scary. The brightness setting are great. We keep it on level 2-3-enough to see everything clearly but calm enough to signal sleep time. The automatic shut off timer is a total game changer for parents. We set it for an hour, read stories and by the time the light goes off, he is almost fall asleep. We also use it for movie nights for some cooling ambient lighting. If you're looking for a night light that's fun, calming, and actually help kid wind down, this is the one. Easy to use and truly does what it promises. Our whole family loves it. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I really wanna give it five stars, but the controls are kind of iffy and the remote is kind of useless, you need to play with each button to figure out what it does and typically have to hold it for about a second for it to actually do anything. Other than that, it looks fantastic, the colored lights, cover the ceiling, and the laser stars fill the room, and a little astronaut is very cute. And it’s very nice that you can angle it, several of these types of devices you can only point straight up. We tried a few different types of this kind of devices and between the cost, it’s a very good value, and the visual effect. This one was the best. The magnet is not very strong, if you pick it up by the head, it will come off, but it’s strong enough to hold it in place for whatever angle you have it set. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I’ve struggled with turning my brain off at night for years. Meditation apps, white noise, you name it—I’ve tried it. On a whim, I ordered this astronaut galaxy light, mostly thinking it’d be a neat decor piece. I had no idea it would become my most effective sleep aid. The design is what caught my eye—it’s this charming little astronaut that looks great on my dresser. But the real magic is in the projection. I love that I can control the stars and nebula separately. For sleep, I turn off the stars and use just the nebula on the slowest, smoothest color transition (usually the deep blues and purples). I set the brightness low and turn on the 1-hour timer. Lying in bed and watching those colors slowly drift across the ceiling is incredibly hypnotic. It gives my mind something gentle to focus on instead of racing through tomorrow’s to-do list. I’m usually out within 20 minutes, long before the light shuts itself off. I’ve noticed I’m falling asleep faster and staying asleep more soundly—it’s been a real game-changer for my rest. During the day, sometimes I’ll turn on just the green stars for a clean, focused vibe while I work. And when friends are over, I’ll kick on both layers with more movement for a fun, immersive atmosphere. It’s so versatile. The magnetic head is also a great touch—super easy to adjust without any annoying clamps or loose joints. If you’re looking for something to help you unwind, create a calming space, or just add a little wonder to your room, this projector is absolutely worth it. It’s well-made, beautiful to look at, and strangely therapeutic. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Read more
My students participated in a Space Escape room and this set up the room perfectly! The students loved it and request we use it often. My own kids want one for their bedrooms now. Super affordable and so cute! I also found finger lights with planets on them. They were able to shine them on the ceiling for a super cool effect with this! Read more
