This battery is not compatible with the Dell computer it is advertised to support. While it did fit necely into the case it will not display the "Battery iCON" on the screen, is not charging corectly and if it is upplugged will not keep the ccomputer operating or even start the computer while it is unplugged. Price point is low ($41) I am afraid that it may damage my computer as the charging light keeps on flashing and never reaches a 100% state of charge. Called Dell yesterday, the correct Dell battery is on the way, a $90 price but is guaranteed by Dell to be compatable. Read more

I wasn't sure if I needed a battery or if my laptop was ready for a replacement. And I really didn't want to hassle taking the old one apart to check the battery (you have to remove all the screws from the back and pry the cover off - not so easy. With the older model HPs all you needed to do is pop the old battery out and the new one in). So I bought a new laptop. I also decided to buy a battery for my old one... just in case that's all it needed. I figured that if the issue wasn't the battery I could just return it. Turns out the old laptop only needed a replacement battery and I was able to return the new laptop. I spent about $24 on the battery and about $600 on the laptop. Long story short: I saved about $575 after returning the new laptop. So far, my old laptop is working fine with this new battery. When I reassembled the laptop, the cd/dvd compartment didn't open. Since I seldom use it anyway I decided to just leave it. I like that they sent a little magnetic screwdriver - I helped to remove all the tiny screws without dropping them. They also sent a little plastic putty-knife that I didn't know what it was for. It would've been helpful if they provided instructions to explain why I would need it. It was delivered quickly - faster than I expected - which I loved! Overall, it works great and will hopefully give much more life in my old laptop. I would definitely recommend the seller and will use them again if needed. Read more
