Multi Grip Joist: OMG the village idiot wrote the assembly instructions. But not to worry. You'll do much better just carefully studying the front photo, with attention to the direction of the pieces and fasteners. I also found it much easier to drill just one hole, hang the device, swivel it upwards so that the bar is perfectly horizontal, and then push the drill through the device holes to start the remaining joist holes. I tried buying this item twice, and both times it was welded incorrectly. As the image shows, the bar is supposed to curve down at the ends, but the way they are welded would make them curve upwards. At this point, it seems to be a manufacturing quality issue and I would not recommend purchasing until that has been resolved. Attached are photos. Read more
