brilliant and comfortable studs

Scott OAugust 9, 2025

This was a totally new style for me—the shape, the border, and the way it catches the light. I wasn’t sure it would fit my look, but it actually made it better. The stone has a lot of sparkle, and even wearing just one side looks great. The size took a little getting used to, especially since I hadn’t worn an earring in over ten years, but it’s comfortable once you adjust. The post is smooth and just the right thickness, which I appreciate since thin posts have always been a problem for me. The overall quality feels solid, and the shine is impressive. It’s definitely a piece that stands out without feeling over the top and very comfortable to wear. Despite itʻs size, I often forget I was wearing it! Read more

Great diamond look for the price

These earrings are suitable for every day where or even dress up. I actually never take them out of my ears except to clean them. They match every outfit I have and they actually look like real diamonds. Read more

Very good quality

The earrings are of high quality I wish they were just a bit smaller personally as I got the half carrot size however I’m new to the earring industry. They are very beautiful earrings though with Avery highly reflective gem. I’d easily recommend the earrings to others but would recommend the half carpet option as I think the looks is a bit more practice. No issues being in my ears for about a week. Read more

One carat TOTAL WEIGHT (.5 per ear)

Lisa S.July 29, 2023

I am generally a fan of moissanite. See below my rating scale for discussion on the stone in general, but I'll start with these earrings in particular. There is a stamp on the post that in all likelihood says S925 or 925, but my eyeballs cannot swear. Probably, though. I had no idea what I was going to get when I ordered them. They're referred to as 1 carat, and in the pictures they have pictures of both 1 carat total weight and 1 carat per ear (2 total weight), with no real clarity about which these actually are. I'd generally assume total weight unless otherwise instructed - and would recommend readers do the same - but the listing seems almost designed to mislead. The only reason I'm not railing about it is that the price ($20 at time of review) is fine for a .5ct per ear pair set in sterling. I've included a photo with one of my known 1 carat (per ear) earrings so that you can see the size difference. The setting on these is much larger than on mine (traditional prong as opposed to round/bezel), so the half-carat ones look bigger than they actually are. There's absolutely nothing in the world wrong with half-carat earrings - I just happen to think that consumers deserve to know exactly what they're getting without having to measure at home. The listing says it comes with a polishing cloth. Mine did not. This is not an emergency in my world - plenty of them lying around the house - but I don't care for unfulfilled representations. One of the earring posts is also bent. I'm not even sure how this happens without mishandling it, but the backs are TIGHT TIGHT so it could well have happened in getting the backs on if someone wasn't paying attention. The posts are slightly larger in diameter than I'm accustomed to (though very similar to other earrings I've gotten from Amazon importers), so be advised they may be uncomfortable the first wear or two until you get used to them. The presentation is good. They come in an absolutely ADORABLE drawer-style box, which is not at all usual at this price point. That's then inside a plastic bag like you'd get clothing in from Amazon. Inside the box, the earrings are bagged (separately). This isn't ideal if you want to ship directly to a gift recipient, but to keep the sterling in good shape it is a best practice. In case you don't need to read the moissanite primer below, I have tested both stones (heat conductivity) and they are real moissanite. For reference, my star scale: 5 - LOVE, highly recommend 4 - Like, solid product 3 - meh, it’s okay 2 - unhappy, don’t like it and don’t recommend 1 - angry, as in misrepresentation or other seller-preventable problem If you're not familiar with moissanite, go ahead and hit the Goog for a quick primer. The bottom line is that moissanite is slightly softer than diamond (still over 9 on Mohs though) but MORE refractive, meaning more brilliance in an otherwise identical stone. Mined diamonds have social implications, and with moissanite you get none of that. No children in mines, no blood diamonds, no guilt. Another advantage to moissanite, at least from my perspective, is that it passes a "diamond test," or a heat conductivity test. That's relevant because it's pretty easy to test a stone to be sure you've got real moissanite as opposed to a cheaper substitute (CZ, white topaz, glass, etc.). I test every moissanite gem that crosses my desk - and these passed, or you would already have heard about it. Moissanite is brighter than diamond, and that can be a tell. Pro tip: they're going to get a bit dirty with wear, and they'll look a lot more natural when they need a bit of a clean (within reason). Keep your natural diamonds squeaky clean and your moissanite a bit less clean, and they'll look a lot more similar to one another. Read more
