Got this cause I have to park under a tree and the birds are unforgiving. Pretty easy to put on and take off. First I bought this 10/2022 for my car parked outside which I drove once a week. I live in California and this past year was hot. Not too much rain. The cover held up and is still going. Yes, there are tiny white dust particles when I take it on and off but I expected this. The material has not ripped, but it is getting cooked in the California sun so the material is getting brittle. More importantly, it has not ripped so it's doing the job of keeping the dust off the car. There has only been light rain here so it waterproof capabilities are unknown. Generally, since I live in California I don't care. If it gets wet no big deal. My concern is the sun and it has protected the car from the dirt. I also waxed my car before I covered it. So no issues on staining plus, again,no rain. I believe the moisture is what may have caused the staining on other cars. Update: It finally ripped in May. I duct taped. Worked fine. The zipper broke but it's plastic so unavoidable. Two months later a small year and it's thinning in some locations. Overall, still happy it lasted this long in the CA sun. I'm on the fence about the zipper. I like the access but eventually it will fail. Then again, it almost made a whole year and it's not windy during the summer. So it finally completely tore after 3 years. Well worth it. Will buy again. I'm still using it, but one good gust of wind and it'll tear in half. Read more

Love it! I’m shocked at how well it keeps the temperature down inside the car. On a 95 degree day with the car directly in the sun, with the cover on it was almost comfortable inside. The reflective tape and the entire cover is very nice quality. I particularly like the driver side door zipper. It’s been useful to grab items left in car (sunglasses) and also helps to determine quickly and easily how to put the cover on the vehicle. I’ve done it by myself but very easy with two people - just slips right on to the car. Thus far it’s been thru a light rain and the car was dry. The lining is very soft. I have 3 Amazon Basic Car Covers and this one premium car cover. The material is the same and I had the same issue with the basic covers and the premium cover. I use the covers daily during warm and hot months because the elements in Georgia are hard on vehicles. When the covers came out of the box, they looked all shiny and of good quality. After about 8-10 months of the cover doing what it was supposedly designed to do (protect your car from the elements), the covers start to thin out, fade, and fall apart. Basically deteriorating. The fabric thins out so bad and discolors (from the shiny out of the box look), that when you try to use the cover, you have to be extremely careful because it will tear with ease. Mine are torn in multiple places. As they say, you get what you pay for. I tried to contact Amazon for support in determining the warranty or the course of action I should take since each cover started deteriorating in less than a year and I was prompted to email Amazon. I emailed Amazon months ago and have yet to hear from anyone. Forget about trying to call Amazon. If you're lucky to get a person, you will be on hold for as long as the cover lasted. I didn't write a review within the normal 30 days because, of course, there were no issues within the first 30 days. It's after that that you will have to worry about issues. Read more

I just had my 1997 BMW 528i painted and wanted to protect it so the paint last longer. So, I looked at fitted car covers and they all cost over $100.00. This one was about half the price, and it fitted like it was made for it. The only way you can tell that it is not a fitted cover is by the side mirrors. Love the reflective stripes and the material. The lock included is questionable but, hey, if someone really want to take your cover a lock of any kind won't stop them. The hold down straps could use some Velcro to hold them down but since they are long enough, I just put a knot on them. That should stop the wind from lifting the cover on the front and the back. Haven't tried the door opening and probably won't ever use it but what an advantage to have it. This is a great product. It surpassed my expectations. Update: this cover lasted from December 2022 to April 2024. That's almost 16 months of weather abuse. I've tried ordering other products and none of them have lasted as long as this one did. After having to get 3 more covers in the last 11 months (that's a new cover about every 3. 5 months) I will be ordering this again. Read more
