I'm 5 ft 11 inches tall. For a year of exercise classes I was envious of how well the average women around me fit on their mat. On a standard size mat, if I sat with my heels at one end of the mat, and then lay back, my head would be off the mat. When entering child's pose, my knees always needed to go just past the mat's edge. The Aurorae extra long, extra wide solves these problems. With this Aurorae, I keep having pleasant surprises, when my head, feet, or knees fit naturally and easily inside this mat. I've had this mat for about 5 months. I bought it for the size, which is great, and it's comfortable. It was very slippery when I first got it, and even worse if i wet it. I had to use the powder bag where my hands go before every practice (and sometimes during) for the first few months. But now that it is broken in, it's very grippy. Sometimes TOO grippy in the seated positions, like if you are trying to stretch your legs, the heels stick. I would not say it's pretty. I got pine color, but it's more like a dark greenish aqua. Not pretty. I like the emblem on the top so I always know where the top is. Overall, once broken in, it is serving my needs and a good value for the money. Read more

I ordered this mat for my boyfriend who always has trouble fitting onto "normal" yoga mats. With the extra large yoga mat he is able to get in all of the positions without having to step his feet or hands off the mat. I like to use it as well even though I am short, it's nice even for me to have the added length and width. 10 out of 10, would recommend. Read more
