I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just something that could hold its own at a formal event without requiring a second mortgage. The square toe caught my eye first - it's a cleaner, more modern look than the traditional round and I liked that immediately. When they arrived the grey colorway was sharper in person than the listing photos suggested, and the faux pony hair upper has a textured finish that genuinely looks more expensive than it is. Build & Design The construction is solid for the price point. The faux pony hair upper has a nice sheen to it and the square toe gives the shoe a confident, intentional silhouette. The low heel adds just enough lift without making you feel like you're walking a tightrope all evening. Stitching is clean and consistent, nothing pulling or puckering out of the box. Function & Comfort For a dress shoe they're surprisingly wearable right away. No brutal break-in period, which anyone who's worn stiff formals all day at a wedding or office event will appreciate. They pair cleanly with dress pants and slacks and the grey works across a wider range of outfits than you'd expect. Whether it's a prom, a wedding, or just needing to look put together for a meeting, these cover the ground without complaint. Value At this price these are hard to argue with. They look the part, they feel decent on your feet, and they don't fall apart after two wears. If you need a reliable formal shoe that shows up looking right without a lot of fuss, these deliver exactly that. Read more

I'm not sure who these shoes are for, but they serve the exact purpose that a pair of $45 dress shoes should serve! They fit well, are decently comfortable, and (from a distance) look quite nice. Now, the real question is: who needs furry shoes? Is this really a trend? Either way, the shoes are well packaged with proper stays in them to stop them from collapsing. I removed a star because after wearing them around the house for 2 hours, a chunk of the foam heel had already started to tear off. I think it got caught on a piece of metal trimwork, but since it is cheap foam and not rubber, it tore. Even inexpensive shoes should be able to be worn more than once! Overall, the sizing was perfect for me (I'm a 10.5), and they fit over sport socks as well as dress socks. Read more
A number of Austin Mills’ shoes stir a ‘’Hey-check out those shoes’’ reaction and this pair doesnt fall short on that. At one glance, a person may think they are suede, but they pretty easily hold your attention long enough for the eyes to do a little more investigation and discovery that it looks like Hair ! What a unique and fun handsome look. I love it. The shoe is nicely made and feels sound and sturdy as far as structure goes. It has a decent insole padding making this pair quite comfortable. I ordered 11’s and the sizing appears true to call out. The special surface of this pair of dress shoes will certainly make these a little bit delicate and a special occasion shoe. They certainly score as an attention getter. $45 bucks isn’t necessarily a cheapy pair of shoes when they will serve as a special occasion shoe, but that price for a pair of dress shoes that brings a little bit of ‘WoW’ while still being comfortable is worth the investment! These are one of those pieces that either hit or miss depending on your vibe—and for me, they hit hard. The texture is wild in person, almost like a soft brushed fur look, and it instantly makes a basic outfit feel styled without even trying. I wore these out with a simple outfit and they completely carried the look. Got a couple “where’d you get those?” comments, which you don’t usually get from dress shoes, so that says something.
