Great value for such a small and effective smoke machine. Started generating smoke almost instantly and in a large consistent valume. Extremely quiet operation and very easy to use. Build quality feels strudy and will hopefully will hold up well. Would be nice if there was a carrying case or bag but I found it fit perfectly in a .30 caliber ammo box along with some other accessories.Would also be nice if it was available in a cordless version. Very affordable price, great for DIY enthusiasts. This helped me rule out any major vacuum leaks after resealing my intake system. I was super happy with the clear instructions, included accessories, adapters, and ease of startup. Overall a quick and simple process. The smoke was a little faint on first use but on second use it was much more noticeable. I used my brake booster vacuum port for the first test and the smoke was strong enough to show any major vacuum leaks but not billowing. The second test was done using the included gas cap adapter through the gas cap. The smoke was thicker this time around and reached the front Evap connector quickly and I was able to determine my Evap purge solenoid connector was creating a good seal. I wish I had run into a leak to see how the machine performed but in my case this machine bought me peace of mind knowing I don’t have any major air leaks. The company even included a special gift and thank you card with an EXTRA packet of smoke fluid which was greatly appreciated! One packet of smoke fills up the machine about 1/2 way. After running the machine for 10+ minutes, the fluid level hardly decreased at all and the machine did not get very hot to the touch. It did not drain my battery excessively, the battery clamps were strong, the leads were super long, and the noise level was mild. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the instructions as they do contain important information but you can’t go wrong with this thing! Just be careful with the “normal” pressure mode as you could blow out seals in sensitive systems. For my intake and EVAP tests, I stuck to the “EVAP 0-1psi” mode just to be safe. If you’re looking to guarantee you don’t have any major sealing issues on intake, EVAP, or exhaust systems without spending $$$, then this is the best option. Read more

This is a quality machine. It is built well, finished nicely, and shows obvious attention to detail in its design and construction. Most importantly, it works well. Smoke is generated almost instantly after connecting the clamps to your battery and the smoke is dense enough to trace leaks easily. I appreciate the small size of this machine; it is easy to store in my tool cabinet without taking up much space. Especially noteworthy is the low-pressure EVAP setting. I verified that this does produce a reduced pressure which will not damage evap. systems. The standard setting produces a higher pressure for checking vacuum lines and other systems. The smoke does have an odor, but I do not find it objectionable. To me, it smells similar to burning paraffin wax candles. I do not think you will find a finer machine in this price range. If you need to find a leak that smoke will locate, get this unit. It does exactly what it says it will. Read more

Was a little apprehensive but finally decided to try one on a leak I’d been chasing for awhile. When I received it I was expecting something larger but was pleasantly surprised. It did everything it advertised. I was very impressed with how easy it was to use and the amount of smoke it put out. An affordable little smoke Machine that doesn't suck. Produced plenty of smoke quietly and reliably to diagnose my evap leak. Included accessories are useful and fit well, and the smoke fluid seems high quality. I'm sure there are better machines out there that produce more smoke, or have better flow and other diagnostic tools (pressure guage for example) but this little guy is cheap, seems well built and rugged, and it works well enough to actually be useful. If you want or need a smoke machine but don't have much money to spend this seems like a great choice. Read more

The packaging and presentation are very nice, and up-scale which gives the impression a lot of thought and care was put into the tool. Works Extremely well, grew up around mechanics for 28+ years who have spent $1,000+ on them in the past when they came out & where not cheap. This is a cheap cost effective option that i would buy 10 of them before i spent $1,000 on 1 name brand expansive unit. quality feels very premium & has a 3 year warranty that i bet i will never need to use. this works just as good as any other you could imagine to buy. i love that you can switch to EVAP pressure & normal pressure for different types of testing. there was even a card in there thanking me for purchasing & had a free gift inside.
