As of week 1, I kind of love this pill case. My teen takes meds 5 times a day and certain ones need to be timed accordingly with other meds. The pill case was easy to set up, but the directions are key to an easy set up process. The alarm is loud enough for us. We were out of the house and missed the alarm on one dose. The alarm stopped sounding at some point while we were out. We got home in time for her next dose which was the compartment that opened. The skipped dose compartment moved past the sliding dispenser door and just shows as a missed dose in the case. I'm sure this is probably an annoyance for some, but it works for us. With the key, you can always open the compartment and get that dose out if needed. I like that the controls are locked in with the meds so that it can be more "tamper proof" for those that need that functionality. Not a problem for us, but someone using this to manage a dementia patient's meds might not appreciate that the battery compartment is likely pretty easy for a patient to open and they could easily take the batteries out which would defeat the purpose of the product, in my mind. My mom wasn’t forgetting to take her pain pills, she was taking too many because she had forgotten she already took one (or was rationalizing that she could take another). This pillbox has been great to keep her from taking too many, and has removed a lot of worry. It’s only a month old, so I can’t report on battery life. But so far, so good! Read more

This product has been great, while it lasted. Coming up on 11 months of use and decided I should change the batteries that came with it. Yes, they were still working with being set at one dose per day. Brand new batteries. Set the time. Alarm was still set at the correct time. This morning the unit flashed at the time the alarm was set to go off. No tray rotation and it's displaying an error on the main screen. I tried again with fresh batteries even though I knew the others were good. Set a test alarm. Same error message with no tray rotation. Now I'm sorry I changed the batteries but didn't want to risk them depleting and the user not being able to access his medication. For the money paid, it should definitely still be working. Can't find any help on line regarding what to do and it's apparently not eligible for customer support through Amazon. Read more

Purchased this in Dec 2023 and it stopped working thought it was the batteries and when I went to replace the back was melted in the battery compartment area. Might have over heated. For the price it should have lasted longer than 10 months. Also they don't make extra keys for this brand. If you lose the key , your screwed. Going now with a different brand that works and keeps working. Read more
