Other nightlights were too bright for me because it is right beside my bed. I bought these because you could adjust the brightness and because they illuminate against the wall. I thought that would be less harsh. I didn’t care much about the motion sensing feature when I ordered them, but I decided to give it a try and I love it. It’s not so sensitive that every time I move a little in bed that it turns on, but it turns on when I sit up and that’s perfect. Stays on for maybe a minute and then shuts back off. So with the motion sensing mode it is not even on to bother me while I’m trying to sleep. I love these night lights and have them in a couple different places. My wife’s father spends the night in the living room occasionally, so I put one in there to illuminate when he gets up to use the restroom. He’s prone to tripping and falling, so this light works perfect because it doesn’t bother him while he’s sleeping and it lights his path when he needs it. This is better than what I initially was looking for. It’s small, plugs in, can be on, off or on sensor mode. I love that it can be dimmed and brightened. Package comes with 2; totally wonderful! The packaging is perfectly perfect! All this for a very descent price. I have 1 plugged in the hallway and it is great. Just want to mention 1 more thing; it is backlit so it lights up but doesn’t shine bright, the lighting is adjustable but again, it doesn’t blind you , it’s a very soft light but does the job just great. Finally found the right night light!! These direct the light against the wall (not across the room), light output is adjustable (awesome), motion detection works well too. Get the yellowish light version (not blue) to save your night vision. These won't guide you to the bathroom but if you're just stepping in from the bedroom they provide just the right amount of light without waking up your partner. Highly recommend! Read more

costs a little more than similat products but this style is my favorite, motion detected so only comes on when needed, or you can keep on all night if you like. plus i like the switch on the side that lets you adjust the brightness. it's also cool that the light shoots behind it on the wall..nice calm glow for when you have to take that 2am stroll to the bathroom! I ordered a 4 pack first to see if I liked them and then ordered another two pack. They work great and brightness can be adjusted. I work late and don't want to turn on bright lights throughout the to walk around and they are motion activated. The color is a perfect warm white that is easy on the eyes. Read more

Very nice usable but unobtrusive light. Adjust for higher or lower light emitted, and for whether it stays on while the room or area is dark, or only comes on when movement is detected when it’s dark. No direct light in your eyes, only soft even glow from backlit unit. I have one now under the shelf of my nightstand, so it only comes on if I get up during the night and senses my feet on the ground. Than I can find my way around in low but adequate light. Read more
