I have used it a few times to jump start a vehicle. It worked flawlessly. The compact size makes it easy to store. I was impressed that it seemed to hold a full charge after weeks of below freezing weather. The extra ports, attachments, and built in light add to the value. The zipper on the carrying case unfortunately did not last long but this is a minor issue in my opinion. Read more
UPDATE: 01-02-25: Replacement unit was put to the test 3x over. Started a nearly completely dead, subfreezing 6.2L without hesitation, twice in the same day. Also jumped my 6.5 Turbo Diesel twin battery without a hiccup (still on a single charge). My Toyota 3.0L V6's battery decided it wanted to fail too and was only holding a few volts, but the AVAPOW 6000 didn't even blink, provided full power and it cranked over almost immediately after hook-up. I'd feel comfortable recommending this to anyone with a potential need to jump larger diesels and gassers, and pretty much anything 10L and lower. this is for 12V applications, not 24V, so keep that in mind when purchasing. It's been working like a champ and still cranking our vehicles over, even on single-digit Fahrenheit freezing days. If you have electrical issues beyond alternator/battery, use caution to avoid further damaging your vehicle/electricals. UPDATE: 12-19-24: AVAPOW's customer service reached out to me several times and has been outstanding. The replacement units have been working exactly as advertised and AVAPOW has been very supportive and accommodating. It appears that my first unit may very well have just been defective, which happens with any mass-produced item. The subsequent jump starters (A68-6000A models) have both worked well and without issue. I was also offered an extended warranty from AVAPOW as a sign of good faith and customer support commitment. At this point, I feel inclined to recommend the AVAPOW A68/6000A jump starter and power supply. Read the manufacturer's directions, and test the unit and charge it for a minimum of 6 hours/until fully charged upon receipt then put it through it's paces (in accordance with the manufacturer directions, because these do have a "duty cycle" of use/cool-down periods for repeated starting attempts. Duly earned 4 stars for excellent customer service and fully operational replacement units. UPDATE: 12-2-2024: AVAPOW's customer service has been great. I really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and try a second unit. By comparison to the first unit I bought, the 2nd unit has worked fine. Took a charge without issue from a Samsung USB-C quick charger, and handled starting a pretty low (9 VDC approx.) single battery 6.2L V8 on a cold night (sub-freezing). The second AVAPOW 6000 is currently working as advertised and no issues so far. We'll see how it does in it's next real-world scenario, but so far, so good. Gained a star for customer service and reliable replacement unit. If the next real-world test goes well (and it works), It'll have earned a 4th star. Boost function works, please note that this unit does have limitations and recommended usage guidance, so be sure to read the manual. Read more
I purchased a pair of these for my kids and it has already been used 3 times and worked perfectly each time. It is exceptionally easy to use, small, light and most importantly, my sons car started immediately upon connecting each time he's needed it. This product is very affordable and gives me peace of mind knowing its in my sons vehicles ready to go. Strong recommendation. Read more
I went to charge the product and it stopped working. I am still not sure why the unit that is barely used and fully charged is not working. However, the customer service was really responsive and sent me a replacement. The unit is working perfect and I recommend to buy because there customer service is great. Read more
I went out to start my car in order for me to drive to work and my $225.00 battery was dead. First thing I immediately did was panic. I had 40 minutes to get to work. Second thought was, what the heck am I gonna do. That was my second thought. My third thought was, get an uber and go to “O’”, I better leave that part out. So I called one of those independent cab drivers and they sent me this gal that didn’t know she was driving me to, “O”, to get a battery and then back to my house. She was so mad. She even said out loud, “ I got out of bed for a $5.00 drive?”. Um ya it’s only a mile from my house. So I tipped her $10. Cause I was tired of her moaning about getting out of bed for a 5 dollar ride. Anyway I got my battery, threw it in my car and drove to work. As the day clicked away I thought about what happened that morning. I had told myself the morning could have turned out more positive if I had a jump pack. So while I was on my lunch hour I ordered this jump pack, even though I probably would never need it since I just got a new battery. But you never know, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . I can’t make this much stuff up. A day after I received this jump pack, was the weekend. I had a 3 day weekend. I was nursing a sore back and a bad knee that I hurt when I walked down my drive way and fell on the ice like a duck getting pulled out of the air, because he had some lead bb’s inserted into his body. Long story short I played the victim and stayed in bed for 3 days. So Tuesday I manned up, got ready for work, got out to my car, got inside and turned the key and you know what I am about to say? Are you sure? Would you like to find out what happened when I turned the key.🔑 Are you calling me an idiot right now? I would be if I was in your shoes. But I can’t possibly do that unless…. The darn car wouldn’t start. Another dead battery. I’ll bet you didn’t see that one coming, did ya? Well it was dead. My cars radio will come on when it feels like it and then will sometimes shut off when it feels like it. Stupid I know. Anyway if that happens and I don’t catch it and turn it off manually it’ll turn on when I am not in my car. So it’ll be playing music till somebody turns it off. I was on a 3 day weekend. I bet you forgot about that, huh? So my radio played 24 hours a day for 3 long stupid days. If I hadn’t been so lazy and played victim all weekend I may have caught it and my darn battery wouldn’t have died. So that leaves you wondering what was the first thing I thought of? If you answered or said I panicked you got that one wrong. I laughed and said to myself, self you just had a 1 in a million happenings here. You bought a battery pack jumper that also gives you a bright light that has 3 cool light options. Steady bright light, strobe and SOS. So I pulled that bad boy out and opened my trunk to gain access to my battery. Yup, that is what I said, the trunk. Some alphabet engineer designed my car and thru the battery in the trunk. One, only “one”, stupid place to put a battery. Anyway, I hooked those leads up to my battery posts and then got into my car. I swear it felt like I didn’t even turn the key, but I did, and my cars engine lit off so fast, I thought for sure I didn’t turn it correctly or something and I probably broke it and didn’t even know what I could have broke. But nope!! That jump pack is awesome. I ain’t kiddin ya. I have never used one of these jump packs before. I wish my neighbors car batteries were dead too. I felt the need to jump more batteries. If there was a guy standing behind a ticket booth selling tickets to jump start batteries I would be his first customer and his last customer. It seriously worked better than I thought. This jump pack is very light. I thought it would be heavy when I ordered it. I like that it has a case you can keep it in. Place it in your trunk or a boot if you have one of those. Or there’s always the option to put it in your back seat, or on the floor behind one of your front seats. I highly recommend this jump packs. You never know. You could almost have the same thoughts as me thinking you would never need one of these. It’s always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. This unit is a no brainer. Buy it and have peace of mind. I paid for this with my money. I wrote the review and not some alphabet AI creeper. Read more
