I didn't realize it when ordering this jump starter with air compressor, but this is my second experience with AVAPOW. We've had many jump starters over the years for jump starting batteries, but also as a backup power supply during power outages. To be perfectly honest, I was not a fan of the one we had from AVAPOW. While it could jump start a battery, it wouldn't stay on when I was trying to power something off of it during an outage. Also, with a USB port and a USB-C port, it was a bit frustrating that only the USB port was an output. I don't know if I can give a completely unbiased opinion, but, I can say that when charging something from this new jump starter, it will remain ON until you unplug whatever it is that you are charging. Progress! However, it's not a fast charger. There are still only 2 ports and I can confirm that only the USB port is output and the USB-C port is only an input for charging the jump starter. I have had the opportunity to use the jump starter for a dead battery (drained because something was left on and plugged into the CL adapter). It works just as it's supposed to. However, I have not had the chance to use the air compressor. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars because 1. The cost is seems high compared to comparable units and 2. Given the cost, it seems like they could include at least a few more output ports. Read more

The 5000A Battery Jumper Starter & Air Compressor by AVAPOW, is a very useful lithium ion battery pack. With high quality, great performance and a ton of features this is a worthy consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – This one looks and feels like a great quality product, that I’d put in the upper tier of the quality scale for jump starters. This one is far nicer than most pocket jump starters/ air compressors. It has held up great and I suspect it should last me a long time, assuming the electronics survive. II. Performance – It’s in the middle of the scale for peak current of the one’s I own with 5000 amps, providing a lot of power to start most cars and trucks. The power run all the way to the clamps appears to be all copper with thick 8awg wires. The cable clamps are by far some of the nicest I’ve seen on a small jumper with large, thick, solid, copper clamps (must see in my included video). The air compressor is easy to use and effective up to 150PSI. The included hose is longer them most and a nice quality material. The built in LED light is very bright with 36 LED’s. Providing enough light to be helpful in a dark parking lot or to find something. The included case is thick, protective and well-made. The digital display is one of the best I’ve seen with a large, clear, easy to understand 4inch display that’s very useful. It also comes with a 12V DC outlet that’s slower, but gets the job done and most of these don’t come with this feature anyways, so I see it as a bonus. As a power banks it has a decent capacity at 10000mAh, that work good for an emergency power bank. I feel like this product offers a solid value, but not great currently, because of the higher cost. Overall, this has been a super helpful, good quality, power bank that I keep in the trunk just in case, because of its great portability and versatility. With so many ways to help this has been a real lifesaver when the time has come and even doubles as a backup power bank if a device dies. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. This will start a truck engine with a completely dead battery. And after it started the engine, it barely used any of the stored voltage, amazing. The features and different ways to hold short pause, long pause or series of to get to a certain function, not really a fan of that. But for others that like to have a tone of different functions, sure, I can see where it would be nice, if you want to spend a couple of winter nights learning how to pull up those functions. Me, I simply like to have it in the truck for when we are prospecting deep in the mountains, sometimes 50 miles or more from the nearest town or gas station. We may not see another person for days or a week on our trips in the hills. For that purpose its an amazing item and a must have item in our truck, as important as chains, winch, shovel, fire extinguishers.....just in case the unforeseen thing happens. I do like the air compressor built into the unit, that could be very handy and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it blows up a tire....maybe 5 min. for a truck tire. It is a bit heavy, but that's the battery, I don't mind the weight because of its performance and the ease of mind that comes with that. Read more

The TM18 Jump starter with Air Compressor is compact, and is great for security when traveling in the car, in case of a low battery, or flat tire. It also can be used as a power bank. That said, while it is a nice unit, its price is very high, compared to comparable units, priced a lot lower. At the price point of $270, there are several things that other units, in that range, do better. Both the box, and the instruction booklet, indicate that there is a USB-C Input AND Output (dual charge). Unfortunately, it is only for Input/charging. The Output is only USB-A. Most electronic items nowadays (like my iPhone, Mac PC, and iWatch) all charge using a USB-C; so, I had to get a USB-A to C charging cord. It also would have been nice to have included a small wall plug in, to use in charging the unit. The box does not list the 5000A statistic. It does say the battery capacity is 37Wh; which is fairly low for units costing this much. Also, is says it works down to 32 F (0 Centigrade), but where it is cold at least several months out of the year, other units that go to -10F would be more useful. Finally, it would be nice if you could choose the air compressor to Default to PSI (or one of the other units that it can be set on). I still give the unit four stars, because it is a basic unit, useful in an emergency, but I would definitely wait and buy it on sale. Read more
