I have a very sensitive scalp. Many profits will cause me to break out wherever they touch. I bought this set when I couldn’t find anything else that would cleanse and condition my hair well, without irritating my skin or weighing down my hair. I was concerned about it having a strong vinegar smell, but it has a surprisingly pleasant scent. My hair is fresh and clean, and conditioned beautifully. Not too much, but not too little. This also seems to help avoid a buildup up styling products. It has become my full time shampoo and conditioner, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I have been looking for a shampoo/conditioner practically my entire life that works like the Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar line does. My hair is wavy/straight, thick, oily at the roots, and dry everywhere else. Every other shampoo/conditioner I've tried leaves a greasy build up on my hair, totally dries out my hair, or moisturizes my hair but leave my scalp/roots oily. This line cleanses and moisturizes!! I can actually use this conditioner from my roots to the ends of my hair, and my hair doesn't look greasy! After eight+ years of hard water my hair is HORRIBLE. My scalp itches; loss of hair is terrible. I have used Aveeno shampoo and conditioner for only two weeks. I do very much like the result. My hair is much healthier looking. It is far too early to say whether the breakage is diminishing. Still have issues with how my scalp feels. BUT! I do recommend at least giving this product a try. By the way, we also use Aveeno liquid bath soap and I have changed to Aveeno facial soap and moisturizer and recommend them. Read more

My favorite shampoo by another brand was discontinued so after reading a lot of reviews, I decided to try Aveeno. Let me tell you, it's better than I expected! My hair tends to get oily, and with this shampoo my fresh hair lasts two days without needing dry shampoo on the second day. The reason it gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a combo set and the conditioner is just ok. I need a more intense moisturizing conditioner for the lower portion of my hair, otherwise it gets tangled and staticky. Read more

I did some digging on more affordable products for thinning/balding hair since I've struggled ever since chemo. A lot of my follicles are 'burned' from treatment but the areas that are able to grow, only grow maybe 2 inches then break. My dermatologist recommended this duo as I mentioned I was tired of paying for fancy bottles and no results. I used this duo last night (planning on every Sunday & Wednesday) and got another brand for "daily" use. Scent is pleasant and I cannot smell the ACV at all, which is a plus. I only needed a small amount, as this formula is very responsive to emulsifying. No residue on the shower floor, doesn't make it greasy. This combo is absolutely amazing for my oily hair. I workout often so I sweat. On hot days my hair appears more oily which I don't like. But, this combo helps with both oily hair and for working out. I get compliments that my hair has a silky shine. Just like the combo for fuller looking hair Aveeno combo, this combo is just as amazing. I've tried many different brands. Pantene dries my hair out and leaves flakes which are horrible for me. This combo I dint have that issue. I've tried Neutrogena for oily hair. To no avail it didn't work. Then Aveeno. I promise most of you will love this. It is still a good idea to detox your hair that shampoo residue leaves behind. With Aveeno I don't have to detox as much or as often.
