I don’t leave a lot of reviews (probably something I should be better about), but this one deserves one. It was easy to put together, and the individual parts feel high quality. It’s just large enough to have room for my full-sized Mac keyboard (the one with the 10-key pad) and trackpad, with a couple inches to spare. It has a sort of “soft-lock” that keeps the tray in place when it’s closed all the way so it doesn’t just slide out on you when you’re not using it, or in the event you want to keep it closed and just type under your desk. It glides open smoothly and feels pretty sturdy. For as heavy as it actually is, the clamps hold it in place perfectly. If there was one change I could make, it would be to have a version that’s just about 6 inches more wide to accommodate my gaming mouse next to my trackpad so I don’t have to swap them around depending on what I’m doing, but this is really a minor thing and probably something most people don’t need to worry about. This is a good keyboard tray to save on desk space. The lost star is because the tray rollers are not that smooth. I often find myself having to push or pull with a bit more force than I would like. It also is not one solid board but instead cut in half and then bolted together with some plates. It seems decently sturdy, but does have a seam right through the middle of the try. Read more

On the plus side, it does deliver some of the core benefits I was looking for — but there are some significant drawbacks that potential buyers should weigh, especially if you’re working with an L-shaped desk. What Works Well First, let me highlight what’s good about this tray. The build quality is decent for the price point. Instructions could be better explained. Step 4-A states "...remember to not screw all the time". Aside from the play on words [ ;-) ]! this statement is not explained. I noticed the drawer plate was tilting away from the front edge once I clamped it on the desk. This was because the when "screwing all the time" - or ' screwing too tightly (!) the C-clamps (items 7 and 8 in my instructions) would squeeze the clamp and tilt the drawer plate. When I loosened the clamps and left them gripping just tight enough to hold the drawer secure, it was level, and all was just fine. I noticed another review indicated the drawer would "roll in" with hands on the keyboard - this is likely caused by the clamps "screwing all the time"! So, stop screwing all the time and just tighten up I suppose :-D. I do like the depth and width, just perfect for what I needed - I have a large keyboard and mouse pad. Looks to be good quality, sturdy, and is comfortable for the height I selected. Great value for the money. Read more
