I initially ordered one of these to just try it out and I ended up ordering one for each of my kids. I was sick of cleaning straws and seeing all the thermoses getting beat up at school. This cup is durable, it's the perfect size, it's super easy to carry and to clean. I love the rubber bottom so it doesn't slam on the ground when it's dropped 20+ times a day. Best bottle for toddlers! We tried at least 5 other recommended bottles and none worked long-term, but this one is both leak-proof and easy to clean, plus the toddler loved it! We did have to swap out the nipple on one of our two bottles after a month, as it is very thin and ripped when the toddler stuck a hard straw down the nipple, but a replacement was easy to find. I highly recommend this cup! We have the one with no straw. It truly is leak proof. My kiddo chews through the tips of the contigo cups and gets straw cups to leak due to chewing. I was specifically looking for a good no straw cups for my toddler to have water in bed. I came back after the first week of use to get a second one. Overall, this is a decent cup. I have spent hours looking for something, with many considerations. My 4 year old daughter had to get used to drinking from it because she’s used to drinking from a straw and a cup but after a few tries, she got past the brief learning curve. It's been a while since she's used a sippy cup. Considerations: - It’s plastic. I prefer stainless steel BUT consider this: most kids’ water bottles are made of stainless steel but the straw that usually touches the water is plastic and not silicone. We have a Thermos funtainer she doesn’t use because the straw makes the water taste like plastic, even after using a replacement straw. So, which is the lesser evil? So far, I figure it’s a no win situation until someone can solve this problem. I'd love to carry a glass water bottle around but ok... glass... and aren't the straws in those plastic anyway? Pros: - No straw, just a removable and replaceable spout that doesn't seem as easily gnaw-able - Has parts that don’t look like it’ll mold easily as long as you keep them clean (like same day cleaning) and dry (as in don't let that water or whatever drink sit in those hard to reach crevices and keep it crevice side down to dry) - Easy for a 4 year old to hold and drink out of, once they get the hang of it - Comes in different colors - Tritan plastic seems pretty durable Cons: - Doesn't fit in the Graco Slimfit DX Platinum car seat cup holder (update: same with the Chicco stroller) even if you remove the bottom bumper thing (please make the bottle less wide by 1 inch/2.5cm) - Need a bottle sponge to clean but you can still stuff a sponge and hit the bottom of the 15oz bottle if your small fingers can reach - Has a total of five parts to clean.
