It smells like tropical scent after putting it on. The smell lingers for about an hour or two. It is not bad though, I like it- reminds me of summer scent. Instant tan works very quick. I am very fair I see no sun so, I put two layers on yesterday and two layers on today. I am significantly tanner. I only use my hands to spread it in, it would work better with less streaks if using a tool to help spread the product evenly. It leaves my skin feeling very smooth and hydrated and I like the color and scent, I like how it has hydrolaunic acid and vitamin c. Works good and stays on. I bought this product solely because it said it doesn't have fake tan smell. But it smells just as bad as any other! I put it on before bed and the smell clings to my pajamas and my bedding. So gross. It deposits a lot of color on the first application, so that is good if you don't have a lot of time to build color. But you have to be sure to rub it in very well, or there will be hideous streaks. I'll stick with Jergens since the smell is inevitable and I like the smoother, more gradual color better. Read more

I really liked this. I do not tan or use tanning products, i used to years ago. I left mine on overnight, I did my legs 1st, and it gave me the perfect amount of color to make me not look pale white but not look like a whole different color. The smell is much better than others I have used but after its been on it still has that tanning lotion smell, but still better. I will be being again. i got this because it’s affordable and has good reviews. i had never used self tanner before at all, and i can say it is super beginner friendly and gives you a good subtle tan that gets complimented. i would recommend letting it develop much longer than 1 hour for the best results, i usually sleep with it overnight and rinse off in the morning. for reference i’ve used about half the bottle in 4 uses.
