We purchased this music set and another one at Christmas time and I was very impressed with the overall quality of this set, especially for the price. When searching for a music set that mixed ages could use, including teething toddlers, I decided to forgo my previous choice of wooden musical instruments; and I'm so glad I did. This set is made of heavy plastic that is both vibrantly colored and seemingly sturdy, there are no small parts that could break and become a choking hazard, and the drum itself is large enough to store the instruments included and then some. The drum also has a strap, that can be worn to aid a child in walking and playing simultaneously; a huge plus for our kids who love marching bands. All in all, I have no negatives about this purchase or the product and I could definitely see myself recommending or purchasing this set again in the future. Read more

I love this set! It's so cute and seems very durable. The drum is pretty big, my 2 year old granddaughter plays it while it's on the floor. I'm guessing a 4 year old might be able to have it around their neck while standing and play it. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the slide WHISTLE DOESN'T WORK....AT ALL. Hoping it's defective and contacting the maker in hopes of a replacement. UPDATE. 11/17/17......I contacted the company. They were very prompt with their response and are replacing the whistle. :) Read more

As babies, the instruments have definitely won the reputation of a favorite gift to all the babies I’ve given it to over the years. Aside from the drum being and instant hit ;), It continues to provide lasting, simple, interactive entertainment and enjoyment while promoting development of many areas such as motor skills, decision making, social, clean up, and tool use through the creation of sounds and an intro to music. It was a favorite toy years ago for my much younger sister, then my two children, and numerous other children of family and friends that I’ve gifted this to throughout the years. Lastly, the drum goes out with a bang ;p since parents appreciate it’s self containment doubling as its own storage for it’s drumsticks and other instruments.
