This is absolutely adorable, it's got a durable colors. They're this muted like boho rainbow. Everything works exactly the way that you'd expect it to, all of the pieces came intact. It does feel like it's made out of pretty high quality materials surprisingly. I don't have any complaints, I will say that the maraca that it comes with is a little bit quiet, and the horn whistle is hard to blow through. So for younger kids that might be a problem. But overall it does exactly what I need it to. This is something that I could see giving to a child and them just having the most fun exploring the different sounds and tones that the different instruments make. Eventually, the tambourine would probably drive me insane. The triangle feels like it's made out of solid metal. It comes with a little silicone hook to hold it with, but it doesn't hold it super securely. Not a complaint. Just an observation. I think that is so that you can take it on and off as needed. This wooden musical instrument set was an absolute hit with my almost 4-year-old. The quality of the wood is fantastic, and the craftsmanship is impressive. There's a bit of visible glue at some joints, but it's purely aesthetic and doesn’t affect functionality. The instruments are on the smaller side, but still very usable for little hands. I posted a picture comparing it to a much larger (mostly plastic) xylophone we own—but the kids gravitate more toward this wooden one. It not only looks better with its soft, pastel, Montessori-style colors, but it also sounds much better! Surprisingly, even my 1-year-old was drawn to it and enjoyed playing alongside their sibling. It’s been a lovely toy for shared play and early music exploration. My only complaint—and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5—is that there’s no documentation included. No instructions, no list of instruments, not even a small card describing what each item is or how it could be used. Kids had fun with it. The maraca sounded very muffled but the rest of them sounded pretty good. They were definitely sound friendly as they were as loud as most which i was happy with. Kids took out a few ankles with no damage to the actual items. The finish on the wood was nice and yet still felt like wood. You get plenty of things to play with. It keeps kids entertained had 3 kids make a band with them and present it to adult to convince us to have a sleep over (it did not work). Read more
