This thing is a game-changer for us, but it does have a technique you have to use to get the most from it: you still need to have your kid put their head back (chin up). If they lower their chin, the water from your cup can indeed make the splash guard thing slid down over their face (as some reviewers have noted), defeating the purpose. It's pretty tough to get the strap secured. When trying to secure that strap it gets all tangled in my little ones hair at the base of her neck and pulls and get wrapped up in the silicon straps. It would be better if it was sturdy all around the head like a regular head band, instead of a floppy strap. Read more

If ur child has anything besides short hair, you’re going to have to put their hair up before putting this on cuz it gets in the way. And even then I always wind up getting some of his hair stuck in the holes and it can pull and hurt. And by the end of hair washing it always winds up falling down and I’ll have to physically hold it in place.
