I bought the Backcountry 1000 with the intension of using it as the main power source for an off grid truck camper build. The truck camper is still being built, but in the mean time I have tested all electrical components with the backcountry 1000 and am confident it will satisfy my off grid needs. I can wire the battery directly into the 12v and 120v circuits in my truck camper, and it powers all devices and outlets easily. I really enjoy the real-time wattage draw displayed on the battery pack when it is powering devices, and it has proven that upgrading all lights from incandescent to LED has drastically improved the energy efficiency of my camper. I ran my 3-way fridge for 12 straight hours in both 12v and 120v modes without issue. I have recharged my cordless tools multiple times with hardly any decrease in the battery’s capacity. The built in light is super convenient and I have used it to continue working after dark. The wireless phone charger is great. I plan on buying the Backcountry solar panels to pair with the Backcountry 1000 once they are available. My final consensus is that this is a well thought out battery box that has everything I need, and nothing I don’t. I would recommend this to others looking for an off-grid power solution. Read more

We bought this power station as a car camping generator for winter camping and for backup power for the house and recently found it very useful tent camping in a more rugged area with our family in Mammoth by the San Joaquin river. We were able to have all the luxuries bringing this compact power station. We used the 110V outlet to plug in our Espresso machine and have hot lattes on the cold mornings, the multiple USB and phone charging station to charge multiple phones, music speaker, earbuds and used the 110 outlet to inflate some air mattresses and acouple GoFloats flamingo and swan tubes for floating. The media could not be loaded. I recently ordered the GoSports Backcountry power pack as a back up for emergencies and to use when we go camping. Today, our street was without power, and we did not know how long it would last. I had not even pulled the unit out of the box, but I quickly set it up and plugged in our refrigerator to keep the contents from spoiling and it has power! I also charged my laptop and am working off of my phone. Working well. I posted a quick video and you can see how easy this is to use. This was a bit of a splurge but I can already tell that we’ll get way more than our money’s worth! We brought this on a weekend family camping trip and it was such a great addition to our campsite - we strung some lights, played music, charged headlamps and devices, and even made some frozen drinks during the day. (Hey, I never said we were roughing it.) No issues getting it charged and set up, and the battery lasted forever. Bonus: the next weekend our power went out at home on a 100-degree evening.
