Yes this is small, good for purse, I have very dry chapped lips, all the time due to allergies and breathing through my mouth at night and meds that dry out my skin. There is a stick lip balm I like and works but it is empty fast and is $25.00 +. This works better and if my lips get cracked and bleed it heals them; so $7 something is worth it for me. (when empty I will get a larger size and scoop some into the 1oz tin.) If it bothers you to dig your hands in to put on lips, buy a lipstick brush and use that to apply bag balm to lips. 1/31/2015 I bought a large tin at rite aid. I am getting two small storage pots/jars and a plastic cosmetic spoon. From the large tin/jar I will use spoon to put some in small jar to put in handbag. This is cheaper then the small, though cute, tin. All these things can be found on Amazon. Read more

A manicurist told me years ago about this product -coat your hands with it--put cloth gloves on and sleep overnight-you hands are soft and healed in the morning--My dad worked alot with concrete and it is great for lime and concrete poisoning of the hands--hang nails, mosquito bites/impetigo and works great in place of preparation H and if you are out of WD 40 this will work in a pinch for squeaky hinges just use a q-tip and rub a tiny amount of bag balm on the hinge .I love the tiny can because it's easy to carry around for small emergencies and this product is American invented and made--a tiny can of patriotism-Bag Balm was taken to the North Pole by Admiral Byrd, it was used by Allied troops in WWII (to protect weapons from rust), it was used at Ground Zero in New York after 9/11 for the paws of cadaver-sniffing dogs, and it has been used by American troops in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.[2] -salt of the earth American farmers came up with this product Read more

I wonder if this scam was planned? Due to my doctor's recommendation, I use Bag Balm to keep my feet soft and smooth and it's great. A few days ago, I went to reorder and saw this product for sale at $2 less than the item I'd previously purchased. I read every single word on this web page to make sure I wasn't being duped. I saw the word "lotion" but decided to try it out to see if it was as good. Imagine my surprise, I received the items today (I ordered two of these) and then discovered the maybe-scam. It was not the 8 oz that I'd purchased before, but a 1 oz item instead. What a rip-off. I'm going to contact amazon and knowing the good company that they are, I'm hoping to return the lotion for a full refund. FYI: The size of the tiny cans I received is approximately 1 square inch. I originally started using Bag Balm for my quilting under-finger, the one that gets pricked with the end of my hand quilting needle. It makes a huge difference in how well and how fast that finger recovers. This particular little tin (which is adorable) fits in the box where I keep my hand quilting supplies. But I really bought it because I had mislaid one of my existing larger tins - I have one within reach in several places around the house. I have come to use Bag Balm as heavy duty lip balm, and heavy duty moisturizer. When a bit of skin is desperately dry, I have used a moisturizing lotion, and applied Bag Balm afterwards to "seal" the moisture in. Read more

Everyone should have Bag Balm in their medicine cabinet. The scent is not really subtle, but the amazing work it does to heal chapped, cracked hands suffering from eczema is worth it. Anyone who plays a stringed instrument will know how rough fingers get after practice. This balm keeps fingers moisturized, heals old cracks and prevents new ones. This product is highly recommendable. The one ounce size makes it easy to carry around too. Read more

I love Bag Balm! Nothing can help cure cracked heels (human or horse) faster than this product. One thing I always found frustrating was taking business trips where I couldn't take this product (in the traditional size) with me. I almost never check my luggage, so going into security with a normal 8-10 oz container along with my other items is almost impossible. Enter the 1 oz. container. This 1 oz. size is perfect for briefcases, purses, carry-on luggage, backpacking, military packs, bug-out bags, baby/toddler bags, and whatever else you can dream up. I'm willing to spend the extra price to have the convenience of carrying this item in my carry-on luggage. I can honestly say this was a life saver for me at a recent 4-day business convention that was non-stop walking/standing. BOTTOM LINE - Excellent product sizing for the consumer who is willing to pay for healthy heels - or healthy horses, your choice. Read more
