This is my second Bagalini Calais. It is the perfect size for a cross body/ shoulder bag. The built in secure wallet holds everything i need securely. The main bag area is spacious and easily holds eyeglasses and all the other essentials i take with me. There are zippered pockets and a dedicated handy slot for my cell. I had been searching for a new purse for quite awhile. This one has most of what I like. I got French blue, which is very nice. It has a slight sheen to it and is pretty dark, almost looks black at times. It has a large main compartment which has a zippered compartment on one side. There is a slot compartment with magnetic closing on back of purse where I put my cell phone. In front of the main compartment is another zip compartment. I put my glasses here. In the very front is a wallet compartment. Outside is a flap with a turn latch. Under that is zip area for credit cards, cash bills, two pockets on other side of zip change compartment...lots of room. Also another zip pocket to the back of this wallet area. Baggalini is a quality product. Edit a few months later...still great, but I recently discovered an open slot in top of purse. Perfect for cell phone, but I put my glasses in it without a case. I have Bagallini bag from Marshall they look exactly the same except the strap is not removable, only one pocket in the front bag and no key holder and the bag is smaller. The bagallini bag that I ordered here i love it,the size the pockets and the main storage, the card holder hold perfectly. This bag is exceptionally well made. Because it is nylon and not leather, it is also very light, and easy to wipe down if a spill should get on it. The details in the design make it really stand out. All of the zipper pulls have a satin finish and a uniquely friendly feel. Now that I have it in my hands, I realize how superior it is to the cheap bags that I have been purchasing. In my opinion, this bag is the perfect size - neither too small nor too large. There are lots of zippers and pockets and places for all of my items, including a slip-in pocket with a magnetic snap closure which is perfect for my cell phone. There are so many great things about this bag. It has many slots, and spots to organize everything. It is so hard to find the perfect bag that is not too big, not too small, and will hold what you need to carry without being too heavy. This is all of that for me. I think it is cute as well, not as plain as some bags I was looking at. The slots are the right size to easily grab a card at the checkout quickly. The zippers perform well and do not get caught. It is a very good quality bag that will last for years. I really like that the front compartment zips closed and also has a flap that secures down. Your valuables are safe and secure and will not fall out. What I don't like about it: The strap is so slippery it is difficult to keep it on your shoulder when you are using the bag as a shoulder purse. I ordered a strap grip and that is helping but it isn't perfect. If they made the strap in a different fabric, it would really be perfect. Edit. I gave up on the strap and ordered a canvas one. It is making all the difference. Huge improvement. I’m not sure why this manufacturer provides such a slippery strap, but I really did not care for it. I am very happy with my new Baggallini Calais crossbody bag. I have another Baggallini bag and knew it had the quality I wanted. The Calais has many secure zippered sections and lots of pockets, a key leash - so I know where my keys are, a built in RFID wallet and a special pocket that easily holds my iPhone 16 Pro and is easy to access. It has a back pocket with snap to hold my lipstick, lotion, hair ties and nail file for which is convenient. I chose the shimmery silver color and love it. It’s a great neutral. It is lightweight and can be wiped off or washed. It holds everything I need, including two pairs of glasses, with a little room to spare. Read more
