If you're a grown man over age 25 or 30, then is a great backpack that transforms into a briefcase or shoulder messenger bag. As a man who is decidedly middle aged, I got tired of using the same type of backpack I had in college or even high school for work purposes. I need to take my work protocol binder notes to work, and as you get older (or if you are young and have health issues) you carry emergency Tylenol, aspirin, or any other medication you may need. This bag accommodates all of that. This bag feels adult, feels grown up and mature. This bag may look small, but it's amazingly spacious with many hidden compartments. I feel like this bag would work well on airline flights, as it's easy to store under a seat or overhead compartment. The only negatives are what others mentioned, the zipper that only goes from one side, and the plastic hooks, which make me wonder how long they will last. Time will tell, but so far I love this bag. I also wish there was a hidden compartment for a water bottle like my old backpacks had, but that's OK, at least I feel like an adult with this bag and not like I'm in college in 2002. Read more

I bought this for my dad since he is a teacher and I have seen all the books he has to carry and all the paperwork. Let’s add that he has a laptop too and with the sum of everything, he needed 2 or 3 bags to take everything. Ever since I saw this, I knew it was the perfect style, size, quality and material for anyone that works with a lot of paperwork, books and laptops. The price is actually acceptable because it resembles everything that’s on the pictures. The shoulder straps is perfect too, it has a nice cushion on it and the weight is dispersed throughout the whole bag. Read more

This is a great bag that I believe was a great purchase for me. It is very spacious and I needed all of the space that it has because I carry a second screen with me. My chargers are great and have a lot of room to put my notebooks in there. I really do like the straps that turns it into a backpack when needed. Read more

I had been looking at the Solo Duane, which was in stock at Target, so I could get hands on with it. Then, I saw this bag, which seemed similar (hybrid briefcase), but with a few advantages. Specifically, it's deeper and has an additional zippered section of the main body. That extra space and ability to separate things more is definitely nice. In general, it does everything it says, as far as function. That said, there are some negatives. First, it doesn't have much internal rigidity - it's a bit floppy. Combining that with the fact that it shipped folded in half, and it tends to want to V, rather than lie flat, if you don't have a large laptop in it. The straps also don't feel particularly robust. Finally, personal pet peeve, but even the main section zippers only have one pull. That means that you always open it from one end and have to open it almost completely to access the other end. I prefer that they have two pulls on at least the large zippered sections, so that you can close with them both in the middle. Read more

My husband got this to replace his old laptop bag, which he liked so much that he had used it until it literally fell apart. But I've bought Bagsmart brand before and really liked it, so I convinced him to try this bag. He really loves this bag, because it has lots of compartments to help him keep things organized, including a separate document pocket so his documents don't get mangled. Read more
