This balaclava is light and stretchy, as described. This is a good choice if you are looking for a thinner material, to fit under a hat or helmet or just to not be too warm. The material is a stretchy polyester that I think would stretchy to fit well on most adults. I am an average sized woman and found it to fit me well. The face mask can be pulled down comfortably to tuck under your chin when you do not want to use it as a mask. I got these for the winter for skiing and biking. I commute about 20 miles a day in the winter and this is perfect to protect my ears and head from the cold while letting me breathe. They're super thin so not the most warm, but it's perfect for any active sport. Both fit below my ski helmet perfectly. Bought it for work in a cold area. So, it's really worth it. Removable mask is a really convenient thing just if u need to go to dinner or to smoke. I have a medium sized head, so it fits perfectly because it's stretchy. The layers are very thin and doesn't keep very warm but better than nothing. I like the fact you can breathe well.
