____ The Good: ___ * This is breathable, and my eyeglasses experience minimal fogging even with the fabric worn above my nose. * This is thin enough to wear under my bike helmet. heck I can even wear an additional skullcap between this and the helmet * True to color - the black and green I ordered look the same in person as they do in the listing * Stretchable fit, these can fit me or my wife just fine. * Very decent price for a pair. ____ The Bad: ____ * The fabric has a bit of an unpleasant smell out of the box, but it mellows after airing out. * Most concerning, I had some loose threads shedding after my very first time wearing this. * I would have prefered a two pack where both colors were high-visibility. * Hand wash only. The material in this balaclava is pretty thin, and will add no thermal insulation, but that's not the intended use for it. I'm only mentioning it to make it clear, as that's not directly spelled out in the description. The thin material is great for fitting under hats or hoods. And having any material at all on my skin protects it well from cold winter wind. Since it's not made out of cotton, any moisture from sweat or breathing should wick away. The balaclava material is just as stretchy as described. It fits tightly to my head, but not too tightly at all, and is soft and comfortable. It has a "flap" that only covers only the mouth and nose, which I found pretty useful. I wear glasses, and haven't found a balaclava or ski mask that stops my breath from fogging them up, so at times during use, I would pull the eye opening in the mask down to uncover my nose. But with other masks, those without that flap, I would have to pull that opening all the way under my chin to keep it down. This flap, thanks to the stretchiness of the fabric, will pull down anywhere I want. I used one of the balaclavas yesterday in 12 degrees(F) with light winds weather to do some snow shoveling and it worked great. My glasses even seemed to fog up less than my previous mask. That may be due to the thinness of the fabric, letting me breathe out more effectively. I still had to flip that flap down on occasion, but it wasn't too bad. Having two masks will be useful for bigger storms. As one gets damp, either from sweat or breathing, I can easily switch to the other to let dry. This material should dry very quickly. Read more
I like these masks a lot. I used them for skiing in Canada, under my helmet. They are lightweight, but they still did a good job of keeping my head and neck area warm. I like that the seam doesn't run down the middle of my forehead, so there isn't an indentation when I take it off. I also like that the design makes it easy to wear the mask in different ways. I took one star off because it's supposed to be one size fits all and it was a little big on me (I have a smaller head), so it wasn't a perfect fit. But overall, really good masks. Read more
