Good quality fabric and stitching. Fit is nice with flexibility to tighten and loosen in the back. Comfortable and soft. Highly recommend! Read more
I loved the thicker fleece material! I live in a cold climate where a warm balaclava is preferred over some of the thin breathable mesh designs. The 2-piece assembly that attaches in the back gives more versatility than some of the more restrictive balaclavas. I agree with the reviewer who said the top looks lumpy. There are small points visible where the seams end at the top of the balaclava. However, I think it makes it look more than a hat than a tight hijab . It looks like you are wearing a stylish hat and neck gator, without having to keep up with multiple garments. It provides sufficient coverage on the sides, and is fully adjustable with a drawstring. I figure it will primarily be worn under a snowboard helmet, anyway. Since it is a bit thicker than others I have seen, make sure your helmet fits over the garment! Read more
This is a good additional layer. I use this for walking the dog and running/jogging in Midwestern winter weather. Not super warm, but breathable. Pros: Very comfortable and lightweight. Versatile - even without the hat or gaiter up, it serves to very comfortably keep your neck warm. The hat part actually covers my ears enough to keep the wind out, which some hats are too small to do. The best part is its adjustability - you can easily put it up over your face when it’s windy and pull it down when you’re in warmer areas. The toggle to tighten the gaiter is easy to adjust, even while wearing it. Cons/Considerations: it’s not remotely water-resistant, so I’m curious to see how this will work in snowstorms. Warmth: not sure how you’d add insulation yet keep this breathable, but this is not super warm. For really cold temps, I’d prefer something heartier than this single-ply fabric. Wind does come in all around my cheeks/nose. Also, while this is very soft, it’s not Sherpa-lined (or lined at all) or fuzzy inside as you might expect from “fleece”. Read more

I work outside at a WINDY facility all day. Winds are cold, usually foggy, although even in the sun the wind is usually freezing. I can't wear a scarf because the wind constanly blows it off me. This was an amazing answer to my woes. It's soft and warm and really made a difference in keeping me warm without choking me as I don't like turtlenecks. I wear it just about every day (more as a infinity type scarf vs over my face) and really comfortable. Over the face choice also really helps with breaking the wind in your face constantly. Putting on the cap too bumps up the warmth factor alot vs just using it as a scarf. Would totally buy again. I got a thinner version but quickly figured out this was the bomb. So glad I got it! It really saved me! Read more
This worked fine as a basic balaclava. It’s nice and thick and comfy. It does NOT, however, fit under a helmet. It has a black tube-shaped adjuster/tightener that sits almost evenly between the ears on the back of the head. Wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet with a chunk of plastic digging into the back of your head is extremely uncomfortable. If I were to crash with that in there, it would jam it into my skull. Please stop advertising this for motorcyclists. It is NOT SAFE and it is NOT COMFORTABLE with a full-face helmet. Even the picture tried to hide it. The adjuster is BLACK; yet, the picture makes the adjuster match whatever color balaclava you are looking at. Pretty shady advertising, if you ask me. Returned to exchange for another brand. Read more
