I use these cover to go on bicycle rides. I don't like putting on sunblock because when i sweat it drips down my face and it stings my eyes sometimes. So with this I just put it on and go. I have another baclava that I wear during the winter rides which actually keeps me warm but it would be too hot for sunny days. This one is perfect for hot sunny days. Pros: Easy to put on. It's breathable. It keeps you cool during your ride. Eliminates the need to put sunblock. You will still feel the wind but blocks it significantly. Cons: The back part could be longer. This might not be a problem for someone who is running but for someone who is cycling when you are hunched over your bike you the back part might come out and leave part of your neck exposed to the sun. This works well until you sweat profusely like I do here in Florida summers. Then, it becomes difficult to breathe. I was thinking of sewing a small wiffle ball into the area around the nose to give me some breathing room when the material gets wet. I use these when mowing to protect my ears, face, and neck from biting insects and the sun. It offers great coverage and is reasonably cool.
