Normally I would not write a review for a product that already has lots of positive reviews. I just don't see the point of repeating the same stuff that's been said. However, apparently there is some sort of competition going on between scales. About a month ago I decided it was time for a new scale. I searched on Amazon and the one that came up right away had about 1200 positive comments. It was not too expensive so I ordered it. I don't really remember the brand but if you do a search you should find it easily. At first I was satisfied and then things went downhill. First of all the sellers kept contacting me via email about writing a review. I really don't like to be pushed to do that. If I want to write a review I will, and I am not fond of getting unsolicited emails. The second thing was that the scale kept reading the same thing every morning. I discovered through trial and error that it would read the same thing as the day before unless I got on first carrying something heavy and then got off and reweighed myself without the heavy objects. Kind of annoying and inconvenient. This went on for a few days. I recalibrated, moved it to different rooms, etc. Then I decided to check the Amazon feedback to find out if anyone else experienced the same thing. I found that in addition to all the positive reviews there were quite a few (around 300) negative reviews. I hadn't really noticed those when I made the purchase. So I did more research and ordered this scale. I have had it about a week and it works great. I believe it is accurate (I now have 3 scales to do a comparison if you count my original scale and the two I purchased). I like that it gives you the previous reading. They are both the same price approximately but this one seems to be a better quality. It is slightly smaller and I think it's better looking, but more importantly it's accurate as far as I can tell. 26 August 2021 Update: ok, i got this scale 7 (SEVEN) and a half years ago and weighed myself ever day, and the batteries only Just Now 26 Aug. 2021. Absolutely no idea where the paperwork is so i simply searched the Q&A on here (AmazonSmile) and found out (confirmed) exactly how to access battery unit (with a mini flat-head screwdriver) and what kind of batts it takes (four AAA batts) ! .... Very EASY and Perfect. .... I still love this scale and the fact that with often use (at least daily) over 7.5 years the original batteries lasted this long is amazing. #Grateful. Splendid Scale. Before purchasing this scale, I studied the reviews. It is indeed very easy to set up - just pop the batteries in (which come with the scale), and put it someplace flat. I have found that it is accurate the first time I step on it, each and every time; subsequent times that I step right back onto it, the reading is the same (i use it every morning). I trust it now, and so only re-check or measure every few days or so. It remains consistent and accurate. It has a very clear and visible display. After a few moments, the previous weight reading is displayed with a different colour background. Brilliant. This scale looks very lovely, even more than the pictures; its performance, features, and look (appearance) is extraordinarily high grade and high quality. Scales in local stores are not as high-quality AND they cost more. Personally, I am thankful to have gotten THIS scale, after a lot of careful research on alternatives. So from a person who considered a lot of different scales, I say "get this one!" You will love its accuracy, performance, features, look, and price! Update: about a year later - still wonderful, still working perfectly... Read more

I like this scale as it is a simple basic digital scale that is highly accurate and it has auto on/off and auto recalibration features. The display is nicely backlit in a blue light to highlight your weight and then the scale will show your last weight backlit with a green light. It features a large display with large numbers that are easy for me to read even without my glasses on. It can indicate your weight in pounds, stone or kilograms. The top of the scale is a dark blue color and it is 11 7/8 inches by 11 7/8 inches. You can also order a gold color scale. It runs on 4 AAA batteries and they come with the scale. The scale can measure up to 400 pounds with an accuracy of 0.2 pounds plus or minus. The scale uses precision strain gauges for high accuracy. The scale comes with a 2 year warranty. I like that the scale is instant on and easy to use you don't have to do any programming to use it. My wife does not like that it shows the last weight it measured and that I can get on the scale and see what she weighed. (Like I didn't already know after 43 years of marriage.) As a man I could care less about the display showing my weight to the next person that weighs themselves. The memory weight feature of course will not be helpful if more than one person in a family is using the scale. I guess that if you don't want someone to see your weight then after you weigh put your foot on the scale and weigh 25 pounds for example and that is the last weight that they will see when they use the scale. The scale also comes with a nice body measuring tape that has an auto retracting mechanism and one side is metric and the other is in inches. The tape is 60 inches long. That is a good accessory for someone that is watching their weight and their body measurements at the same time. I also like how the tape locks the free end into the head for easy use and accurate measurements. This is a good scale and it is priced right. I liked the fact that the scale has a tag on it that states there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee and you can call customer service, and it provides a phone number for you to call, if there are any issues. I rated it at 5 stars. I tried it on very very thin, no shag, hard carpet and my reading was 20lbs less. I tried it on regular carpet, normal shag and my reading was 40-50 pounds less. I tried it on wood floor, and my reading fluctuated several pounds due to the slight flexibility in the wood. BalanceFrom High Accuracy Premium Digital Bathroom Scale with 3.6" Extra Large Dual Color Backlight Display and "Smart Step-On" Technology [NEWEST VERSION] (Silver) Tried on concrete, and tile. Back to back to back consistent results to the 10th of a pound. No issues what so ever. Also requires you to recalibrate every time you move the scale, calibration is simple: Step on scale fully, and quickly step off before it gets your weight, let the display turn off, that's it. Ready to get back on and weigh yourself. I was supplied a sample of the product for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review. Read more
