I purchased these shorts to wear as swimsuit bottoms to pair with a rash guard to wear when we are out in the boat. My goal was to not expose my bikini area when I had to bend over to put out the anchor. I also wanted some protection from chub rub. Plus I wanted a place to keep my phone when we were walking in the beach. They are so comfortable! I not only wear them in the boat as I had expected but I’ve also used them at Disney for the day in June when it’s super sweaty out. The built in underwear are comfortable and don’t move around when you are walking. The fabric allows airflow and dries quickly when it gets wet so you don’t end up with clammy feeling skin. I have experienced no chib rub and they don’t bunch up between my legs when I walk. The side slit is big enough to be comfortable sitting even though I have big upper legs. The length is modest but still allows most of my legs to get tan and it pairs well with an untucked or tucked shirt. I’ve washed them a few times in cold and hang to dry with no issues. These are my new favorite shorts!! I sized up a little. I wear size 18-20 pants and purchased a size 3x. They fit nicely. The waist isn’t tight. I don’t feel like my phone in my pocket will pull down my shorts . I usually will wear capris but these shirts look good enough that I feel confident in wearing them. I’m much cooler out in the sun than I was previously . The airflow is so nice! The cost was reasonable and I feel like these will be my go to weekend activity shorts for a long time. I live in Florida so I wear shorts/capris 9 months out of the year. Read more

I discovered the BALEAF brand when I needed some leggings this past winter. I love them. Then it was time for capris. Again, perfect fit, true to size every time. They don't snag or pill, don't shrink, fade or bleed color. I work at home, so I am able to live in leggings and capris for months. The material is thick and sturdy, but definitely not heavy. Between the material and the flattering fit, I feel totally comfortable in them in any situation. The warm weather finally hit, so it was time to look for shorts. I went straight to BALEAF to find my new favorite shorts! I now have 3 different styles/lengths and they are all spot on perfect, love every pair. So when it was time to look for swimsuit, I went straight to BALEAF for board shorts. Same story there, different lengths and styles. Love the pair I got today! If you have not tried BALEAF clothing yet, give it a try, quality merchandise for a decent price that you feel good in! Read more

These swim shorts are great. They fit true to size and have good coverage. They don’t ride up too much on the legs, which is great. The fabric quality is nice and they seem to be well made. My only minor complaints are that they do roll down in the waist a little after being in a seated position and the fabric is the type that makes a swishing noise when walking. These issues are not ideal for me personally, but also not deal breakers. In general, as a mom of 4 these swim shorts allow me to feel comfortable hanging out at the lake all day with my kids. The Baleaf high waisted swim shorts are a hit with me! I actually own several pairs of shorts from this brand, but this was my first pair of swim shorts. The fabric is black, it’s very lightweight & it dries quickly. It has a nice little split for mobility on each leg. It has built-in bikini type bottoms, so, if the lighter weight fabric floats up, there are no embarrassing moments while swimming! One thing I really love about these shorts is how long they are. They are a tiny bit longer than typical swim shorts, and as a mature lady, I really appreciate that little bit of extra length - a smidge of extra coverage is just perfect for me. These shorts also have a small amount of tummy control, to help flatten out my tummy nicely. The cut of the short is very slimming. They are machine washable, and you should hang them to dry. However, I accidentally put mine in the dryer a couple of times. They still look great, but I think they might be a bit tighter than they’re supposed to be. I really like them. I would highly recommend. I hope you like yours just as much :) Read more

I tried on several different brands of longer board shorts before my trip to Hawaii wanting a more modest bottom for snorkeling that I wouldn’t need to think about (beginner snorkeler). This was the best I found. The length was comfortable and I felt like I was wearing shorts (not too short or tight). They stayed in place while snorkeling even in the wave break and when getting in and out of a kayak in deep water. I would have preferred a narrower leg. This was looser than I wanted but ok because the others I tried were an immediate nope either too tight somewhere or super baggy. I did have trouble with the tie inside the waist band. It was difficult for me to tie and get it tight enough to help make the waist secure. I was concerned they might slid down. After a few days I got it though and I think it would have been fine without tying as tight because I never had any problems. (I have with other suits.) I was impressed that despite not having drain holes in the pockets the shorts did not billow up like an inflatable pillow around my hips. These are an athletic fabric but they did not dry quick enough to please me (neither did my “quick dry swim suit” so maybe I have unrealistic expectations but walking around in a wet suit for hours afterwards is a pet peeve). I can’t understand why my husband and son’s dry hours before a women’s piece of clothing. Their suits are dry while wearing them within 15 minutes! Even the loose legs are still damp fabric on these …. I did find I had to change after swimming but these were very comfortable before they got wet and they dried quickly over night. I guess that is what is meant by quick dry for women. They are breathable fabric if you have not been in the water. Read more
