I ordered the caramel color baleaf pants in size M with 27" inseam. I'm 5' even, 135 pounds, most of my pants are medium or size 8 and my legs are chunky. Inseam was PERFECT but I really like the pull cord at the ankle so that if I'm barefoot I can make sure I do not step on the pants. Pockets are huge (every one is big enough for my passport AND my huge Android phone), fabric is soft, as someone else mentioned "no swishy noise" - these are silent. These feel like I could go down a size, but I intend to wear these while traveling and I want to leave space to put wallet/phone/passport in the pockets. For the plane ride, I had headphones, hard candy, wallet, passport, tissues, chapstick and a pen with plenty of room if I needed to add anything else. These are roomy enough that I could easily wear an underlayer with room to spare. If you are on the fence, I would size down because these are VERY roomy. I wore them for a trip and was SO excited to have secure pockets, super light-weight for the hot climate I was in, extremely comfortable on a plane ride. I loved these pants. I really wanted to keep them but the sizing is not for my body type. I’m 5’3 around 125-130 pounds with a more full/muscular build. Small was a little too small and medium was way too big. I usually wear a size 4 in pants. The pants felt very lightweight/cool and were very comfortable material. Petite length was right on point and hit little above my ankles. Pockets/zippers felt like a good quality. I could see someone wearing these as hiking pants, scrub pants, or just casual wear as the material is very nice. Pockets could easily hold a phone, small wallet, etc. If these pants had fit me, I would’ve ordered at least 2 pairs. Great quality pants, just not for me. Read more

I am very satisfied with these pants. These just arrived--wish I had ordered them a long time ago. They are everything the manufacturer says they are. I ordered 27" XL and they are great. I normally wear a 14-16 in pants but am about 5'1" . These are a perfect length--they sit just above my feet/ shoes, at my ankles when standing. When seated, they rise up. I like these features: the pockets (I can fit my cell phone in any of them); the stretch; the feel of the fabric; the water resistance; the color. I ordered the pond color--a sort of light green leaning towards turquoise. I ordered these for an upcoming month-long trip to the Southern Hemisphere in their summer/ our winter. These will protect me from the sun and be breathable. The design with tucks or gussets helps them be flexible and fit. They are true to size. I love these pants, hence they get 3 stars - The issue is not with the item itself, BUT trying to get them in the size you order seems to be a BIG issue for this company. Twice now in just one month, they have shipped me the wrong size item. The outside white plastic bag they come in says "Medium" (that is what I ordered) but inside the bag, the pants themselves are "Small". One time is a "whoopsie" - but now this has happened to me twice in one month - that's clearly a quality control issue by the company. Somebody is stuffing the wrong size pants in the wrong bags. The pants themselves are great. I would live in them 7 days a week. So comfortable to wear, great pockets and they wash up wonderfully. You'll love them...that is, "IF" you can get them to ship you the correct size that you order. Read more

These are very lightweight and truly water resistant—light rain beads and rolls right off. The fit is very flattering, and I like the zippered pockets and locking drawstring at the ankles. I am 5'5", 136 lbs, a size 6 (28) in jeans, and the medium fit me perfectly. (I would have to go up a size if I wanted to wear them over leggings.) I bought the 27" inseam because I wanted them to look slightly cropped (and they do). The 28" would have been fine too. I have quite a few Baleaf products, and they all of good quality. Read more
