This lunch box that I use for work holds 3 round glass 4 cup dishes stacked along with two 18 ounce metal bottles. It also hold the 3 cup rectangle containers both directions. That makes me pretty happy with the size for my needs. I keep silverware in the inside zipper top and napkins on the left outside pouch with the right outside pouch holding my phone. The front outside pouch hold assorted water flavor additives and a salt & pepper. The zipper is very durable.... the only thing I am concerned about when ordering any of this style lunch box. It's a slightly larger zipper than standard so it's been holding up really well and I think it has many years in it. As with any soft lunch box, it keep food cool for a few hours..... long enough to make it until lunch which is all I need. If you want it for a canoe trip out in the sun consider a hard sided cooler.
