Balios Prestige Travel Folding Umbrella Handmade Wood Handle Auto Open Close

I bought two of these, with the first one dating back to 2018. It’s still in great shape, which really speaks to the quality. I only bought a second one because my wife took mine, so clearly it’s well liked. It’s compact enough to keep in the office or car, but still opens wide enough to provide full coverage. I’m a big guy and it works well for me. The wood handle also gives it a classy, more refined look compared to most compact umbrellas. Living in South Florida, I rely on this during the rainy season, which lasts most of the summer. Very nicely made though watch that you fold the pleats inward when you go to seat it in the carrying snood. Out of the gate, I tore that accidently and accepted my blame. The umbrella is built like a truck other than that. The solid wood used on the handle of my umbrella would not have been what I would have chosen. I was expecting a tighter grained wood. This looks suspiciously like pine, however, for twenty dollars, who cares? It seems terrific as is. The umbrella is substantial, well sized with a large number of articulated ribs. It will jack you up if you are not paying attention when you open it up or not quite have it closed (the later can cause quite a scene on a crowded bus). I get my exersise closing it up. The tension that allows it to open with such force makes it a little more work to fold it back up. I go through about three umbrellas a season absent-mindedly to public transport, so I can never tell you how long they last, only that there are tourists and bums alike that pick up my "lost" umbrellas. I am very pleased with this umbrella. Every thing is just as described in the images and description. The packaging was sufficient. It comes with simple yet necessary instructions for use of the umbrella. The quality of this product exceeds my expectations. Especially the wooden handle. Well-made sturdy. There's only one negative thing I could say about the umbrella, although not negative enough to reduce a star. When closing the umbrella although the automatic close begins the process, you do need to manually finish the closure. I could not do this with one hand, so it is a little inconvenient, but not bad. Overall this is a wonderful product and I would recommend it and will be getting it as a Christmas present to a few of my loved ones. Read more

Compact and easy to carry umbrella. It is sturdy and well made. The wooden handle is smooth and looks great. It is easy to open, and easy to close and fold. Good size to carry around in my bag. I only wished that the strap were attached to the handle of the umbrella instead of the carry pouch. Read more

I really like this umbrella. It has a more expensive feel to it than I'm used to. The pattern is elegant and fashionable. The release button has no problems on mine so far. It's a little bit of a haggle to close, like most umbrella's are. But really, no complaints. It makes me feel fancier than other umbrella's I've owned! Read more
