They work great if using cosmetically or on the body (medical, makeup, etc). I will say, the second one I used snapped on me - the bamboo stick can be a bit brittle. Takes some getting used to if you're used to the flexibility from paper q-tips - just be gentle with it. I definitely wouldn't recommend to use these for like... cleaning or electronic hardware work. Anything that would require extra force applied - best stick with paper ones that are more pliable compared to bamboo. I like bamboo products from both an aesthetic & sustainable standpoint so I figure its worth the extra buck. Also note the packaging is fully cardboard; no plastic. Most cotton ear swabs the cotton will pull apart and sometimes cause the cotton to come loose in your ear. This ultimately puts me in a worse situation than where I started. I tried multiple brands to try to solve this problem, and found these to have the best results. So far they have never left any cotton behind or fallen apart in my ear. Read more
The tip is perfect for correcting and smoothing out mistakes with eye liner applictions! I also use them to clean my pierced earrings when sanitizing them. And work great for scrubbing away calcium buildup around the base of my bathroom faucets and drain and so much more! They are sturdy and don't bend like the brands do. Read more
the pointed tip on these are PERFECT for cleaning piercings. I know it’s recommended to use a non-woven gauze pad but I feel so wasteful using a new pad every single day because it’s so much bigger than what I really need and it also gets costly. and they are too soft and not good at removing gunk that has dried on a bit overnight. but regular cotton swabs can’t fit under the stud very well either and since they’re so bulky it kinda hurts to push them into the narrow space between the skin and the stud where I need them on fresh piercings. I really like these precision swabs because the tip reaches the post under the stud on all my piercings, I can get all the way under and around and remove every bit of gunk that may get on there. I can dry off the saline solution I use to clean my piercings, and I can also use these swabs to apply piercing-safe ointment/oil when they get really dry and itchy. perfect reach for nose studs, those helix piercings that are tucked deep into that curled part of your ear, and lobe earrings. and because the tip is made to be pointed and firm, it’s less “fluffy” and doesn’t leave tiny fibers on my piercings like normal cotton swabs do (which can irritate your piercing). they’re just perfect, so glad I found these and I will be getting more!! I also appreciate that they are organic, so they will be better for sensitive new piercings. I will not be cleaning mine any other way now!! Read more
