INCREDIBLE SOUND. I had a chance to listen to this in a B&O store in Paris. The sound was incredible full & detailed. I replaced two connected Apple HomePod speakers in our kitchen. While the dual HomePods sound very good, even the single Beosound Balance blows them out of the water. The vocals and midrange instruments are so much clearer and present, and with the right EQ adjustments, sounds absolutely superb. The best sound / soundstage I’ve ever heard coming from a single speaker, and better then many dual surround (Sonos Era 300s) setups. I want one of these in every room of my house now. Read more

It’s a good speaker but the one ordered through Amazon was a dud. I already had one so knew how it should function and the one I bought through Amazon had a software malfunction. There is no tech support readily available through B&O so only option was to return. I then bought from another vendor and no issues with that one Read more

I have always been a huge Bang and Olufsen fan and I have multiple speakers from this brand as well, so I'll just rank it from what I have (including Apple Homepod for perspective) with different aspects: Sound field: A9 4th gen > Beosound Balance > A9 MKI > Beosound stage > HomePod > A6 Bass: Beosound stage > A9 4th gen > A9 MKI > Beosound Balance > A6 = HomePod Mid~high range(piano, vocal, etc) A9 4th gen> Beosound Balance > A9 MKI > A6 > HomePod > Beosound stage Inheriting Bang and Olufsen's excellent design, this speaker, by the appearance itself adds accents to your home decor. I bought the gold version and when I received it, it was slightly different from the picture, showing a really beautiful rose gold tone, similar to the color of the rose gold iPhone (weirdly when I was trying to take a picture of it, the picture shows only gold color :/). I used it mainly on Apple Airplay, and if you have an A6 you would know there's a significant delay after casting your music onto the speaker. Well not on Beosound Balance. The connection was almost instantaneous and I didn't sense any lag or delay from my experience. Sound-wise, I can clearly see the target audience for this speaker. If you love the amazing sound field and clear mid-high range that Beoplay A9 provides but have a smaller room, this is definitely your choice. The bass has a kick to it as well, as a matter of fact when I first hear it, I was surprised that it could produce much detailed yet powerful bass. Unlike the Beosound Stage where the bass just blows you away like a tornado, this music speaker focuses more on how to deliberately show you all details from the lower range. About 60% volume is more than enough for a bedroom, and cranking up the speaker will not have any distortion effects on the sound whatsoever. In conclusion, Beosound Balance is a great speaker, a cheaper(not really) Bang and Olufsen A9 substitute, and a beautifully designed piece of furniture. BTW IF YOU HAVE PETS IN YOUR HOME DO NOT BUY IT BECAUSE THE FABRIC COVER CANNOT BE REPLACED! Read more

I was under the impression that Bang & Olufsen made products of the highest quality, which also happened to be aesthetically pleasing - this couldn’t be further from the truth. After using my beosound balance for one month, I started experiencing connectivity issues when streaming from my mobile devices. This problem curiously started after a recent software update. I reached out to B&O, only to be given the run around for 3months. Endless troubleshooting, incorrect diagnostics on multiple occasions and customer service representatives who had zero technical knowledge or common sense. After months of painstakingly reporting each incident of streaming interference, sending B&O exact time stamps (with videos), forwarding data logs and providing remote access to my speaker, they still have failed to even successfully identify the issue. The company refuses to exchange the speaker for a new one and demands that I pay for shipping to one of their service centers on the other side of the country, just to physically look at the speaker. To add insult to injury, they are making me pay for packaging and shipping of the defective unit. Not only is this speaker one of the most expensive pieces of garbage in its class, the manufacturer has zero interest in fixing the issue in an efficient manner. Read more

I own their Beloit 15 and this home speaker is just leagues over with precision, spacious and powerful sound. Out the box I’ll admit it may sound a bit like it’s lacking but once you change the sound profile in the app it can truly become a serious audiophile experience. It’s enveloping and precise do not expect boomy bass or over emphasized bass when you turn the bass up a couple notches. It’s becomes robust and controlled with its 850watts it’s a serious powerhouse. I would say the bigger the room the more you can really enjoy it at higher volumes. One thing is do get the Bang and Olufsen app first when setting up it will connect to your WiFi first then you can connect devices via Bluetooth. Once it’s set up make sure to connect via Bluetooth for best experience. It also has a loudness button in the app which can be turned on to enhance bass at lower volumes but it is hidden in the menu along with the 2 tone treble and bass controls. Overall love the product and it is even has an aux in so I can connect my old Sony discman to listen to cds. Super awesome :) Read more
