This backpack is clearly well constructed. Have you bought a backpack or bag recently made out of that super thin material and the seems break after a month of jamming all your crap into it every day? I’ve been told I treat my backpacks too rough. I say they don’t make good backpacks anymore. This backpack feels like it is going to last. I’ve used it for a month and I am pleased to say I can’t imagine this thing falling apart anytime soon. It is, however, enormous. The 45L size is truly more than I need. I have been losing items in the backpack because there are so many pockets which are so deep I am struggling to find all the things I’ve wedged in there. I was impressed that even after it held all my daily school and work items, I was also able to fit an entire box of Keurig cups without even having to expand it. When I went on a trip, I did expand it, and it held all my clothes and toiletries for a weekend without feeling overstuffed. It is just too big for my daily use… so I’m going to buy the smaller size. I’m keeping the larger size too, for trips. This is probably the best backpack I have ever owned. A video review said it didn’t have a place for a water bottle but that’s not true. There is a waterproof pocket on the side perfect for a water bottle (there is even a picture of a bottle next to it). I think the backpack is just so big it was hard for the reviewer to see it. In summary, if you need a water-resistant laptop backpack that can withstand being crammed full of all your daily items and the occasional weekend trip, look no further. This one does it all. Just… maybe take a good look at yourself and question if you really need the maximum size. Or, be like me, and buy both! Read more

This was a gift for my husband, and it is his new favorite travel bag. The storage capacity is great, and it’s very versatile! It can be used for a carry on when flying or for everyday use. Read more

So many compartments that I forget where I put things in this bag. Very high quality. Very nice size. My only problem is that the USB wire that's included with the charging port is low quality and slow charging. There should be a way to switch it out easily with something that's higher quality... Or they should have just used higher quality parts there. Read more

Survived a weekend in Chicago. Held all the necessary. No issues with zippers or seams. Like the ability to store straps and use the side carrying handle. Read more

I just finished a 2.5 week trip to several countries in Europe using this as my primary suitcase, plus a small bag. Compressed it met the extremely small carryon size limits for Icelandair, yet still held plenty of clothes for the trip. I did use the vacuum compression bags to pack more tightly, and they helped considerably ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DP4B186Z?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 ). This backpack is very solid, comfortable, and well thought out for travel (I have travelled to over 40 countries, millions of miles). Very happy with this purchase. Read more

I don't usually leave too many five star reviews, but Bange 45L earned it. I have traveled frequently for years for work and have always looked for convenient carry on pieces that can get me through at least three business days with suit, change of shirts etc. For years I relied on my trusty TravelPro. It held everything I needed for the most part but sometimes came up short on room as the most it can hold is 28L. I came across a competitive brand which looked interesting, but had a price tag of $345 which I couldn't see spending right now. After doing a little research I found some less expensive alternatives and eventually landed on the Bange. I figured for $83 it was worth a shot. I am so glad I did it. I used it for a recent three day trip (not work) and not only did it fit everything, but if I fully expanded it and really packed it tight, I could have easily gotten three or four more days of clothes in there. Unlike the more expensive alternative, this comes with the packing cubes which I find handy. The front compartment is very spacious and there is room for my laptop and my iPad. The front pockets are very convenient for holding spare charging cables etc. I loved using a backpack while navigating the airport vs dragging my TravelPro behind me. Much easier to navigate. I know some reviews said it isn't very durable, but it does seem to be put together well. Time will tell as to how it holds up but so far so good. I did get the 45L because you can never go wrong having extra space when traveling. If you don't need it, then don't expand it. As for fitting on an airplane, I was on American's smallest jet and it fit in the overhead. Not sure about fitting under every seat, but I don't plan on putting it under my seat. This will completely replace my TravelPro. I won't get rid of it as I can see using both for some trips if I don't want to check bags. I highly recommend the Bange 45L backpack for any type of traveller. At a quarter of the price of one of the leading brands it is a no brainer for me. 8/29/2025 UPDATE: I was able to use it for business travel. Did a four day trip to Florida. With all of the extra business accessories (two laptops and iPad), I did need to use my Travel Pro. But, still impressed with the Bange. Between the two of them, I will probably not need to check baggage again. In the past for this kind of trip, I would have needed my Briggs and Riley suitcase and probably would have checked it. Great bag for the price. Bought to use for work trips. Plenty of pockets, expandable to use as a carry on for a quick weekend trip or to hold computer equipment. Read more
