My favorite mineral foundation

I love this mineral foundation powder. I previously purchased the deluxe in fairly light. I use it to cover redness & age spots. It works great but is too light, so I bought medium beige & it’s too dark. So I’m going to order the light beige and will continue to order this every year in the deluxe version. It has a slight sheen to it which I don’t like, but I think the light beige will help with that. I went with a shade or 2 darker in my foundation because it’s recommended for mature skin. I use the Elf soft glam foundation. It’s the best color match & it does NOT amplify my lines and skin peeling from retina A & other acne treatments. I have rosacea & there are different phases, from redness to the extreme with an enlarged puffy nose & pores. I am in the middle & get a lot of cystic acne; anything with silicone seems to exacerbate the problem. Bare minerals foundation powder never aggravates my rosacea but rather covers it nicely letting me feel more confident. Zinc powder on the zit helps too. I find that most serum’s & hyaluronic “claimed” serums break me out. As you can see in the photos the fairly light & medium beige swatches & the 2nd one is with medium beige on the large age spot (works better when applied with small buffing brush). I put it on heavy but you can buff to blend. You need a moisturizer before using it. Read more
