I have bought a lot of dog beds over the years and usually they are destroyed or damaged by the dogs almost immediately. But the way the cover and bed are made makes it harder for my dog to damage the Big Barker bed. I was also grateful that there is a water proof cover. It can be easily wiped down and prevents any smells from accidents. It all so got my ailing older dog off the floor when he could no longer climb onto his couch anymore. Bought to replace our old cover, that our dog ripped. Fits great as expected, but unfortunately they haven't made any improvements to the fabric in use. For an xlarge, heavy dog, it's easier for them to rip the top, and would expect something strong/thicker for this price. Read more
