This is an awesome waterproof cover for our big barker dog bed! It keeps it clean and nice on the inside. We take the cover off and wash it frequently and its comforting to know that all of that grime, stink and slobber of a dog bed isnt getting past the washable cover into the core of the bed. I am confidant that this dog bed will last 15 years or longer. All of the big barker stuff we have purchased is very high quality and definitely worth the investment. When I read this in the description "100% Waterproof liner will protect your foam against all accidents, spills, and odors. Made with hospital grade material, no liquid will ever make it through the liner. You could pour a gallon of water on your dog bed, wait two weeks for the water to evaporate, check the foam, and still find it to be bone dry. Do not accept anything less. This liner is 100% water proof and made in the USA." I had to make sure that our investment in this dog bed was protected by this cover. Definitely Recommend! Great products and a great company! I have had a Big Barker bed for some time..LOVE IT.....I have no idea why I did not buy this liner sooner....even though we have not needed it I am sure there will be an ooopsies in the future with bladder leakage since my Gus is getting older. The bed has a washable cover which was easy to get on and off already ..but now with this liner underneath...poof.....even easier...so worth it....great fit...and protection for my investment of my Big Barker bed...love it!!! I knew I wanted this waterproof liner to protect our Big Barker bed from doggy odor, drool and any accident that might happen. I was concerned about the price as my experience with waterproof covers on twin mattresses (used as dog beds) was that the plastic split and cracked after a few months and never quite fit well. This liner looks and feels nothing like those! Because we ordered the biggest Big Barker, it took two of us to wrestle this onto the bed, but it fits nicely under the normal cover. There's also no crinkling noise. I don't anticipate ever having to replace this one! Update: Since buying our first Big Barker (giant w/ headrest) almost a year ago, we've since added two more XL headrest beds with waterproof liners. We also keep cotton mattress pads and sheets on our dog beds for ease in laundering. The beautiful tailored covers that come with the beds are sturdy, but I don't know if they'd hold up to our frequent washing, bleaching and drying. Every person in the family has at some point napped on the beds with the dogs and the liners aren't noticeable at all (not crinkly or hot), and I'm happy knowing that the foam is protected from odors if one of the dogs were to vomit or have an accident. 2nd update: We currently have 4 Big Barker beds in our house plus one more for our daughter's visiting dog! Better than described, if that's possible. It is truly waterproof. I have a 13-year-old Great Dane that is still quite healthy despite her age, but suffers from the occasional incontinence. The waterproof liner has never failed us. She loves her Big Barker bed and we love it too b/c it keeps her comfortable and pain free. The cover can be washed numerous times a week without shrinking and so is the case with this liner. This product is Made in the USA and is of the highest quality. We bought this for our 5 month old yellow lab. This hopefully will be the only bed she'll need through her lifetime (10-12 years). She climbed on right away and has been laying on it more than I anticipated. We also bought the waterproof liner, too, since she is a puppy and enjoys chewing things on it as well as laying in the wet grass when outside. So far, so good. A couple things about the cover, though: - The microfiber is very thin. I'm not at all convinced of its longevity/durability. I saw a review where the owner mentioned a cordura cover option for those needing a more robust cover. This is not offered on the Big Barker website. I'm hoping this really is available since I feel certain we'll be replacing the cover regularly if we have to rely on the microfiber version. At $100/replacement cover, the initial cost of the bed may seem cheap over its life! Also, if there is a cordura option, it would have be nice to have been able to select that option to begin with, without having to pay for a replacement. Presumably it would make for a much more cost effective investment if the bed came with the cordura cover when delivered. (Net cost of the cost of the microfiber cover it replaces). Even if only 1 color was offered. - I'd suggest having the manufacturer tags sewn into the bottom seam of the cover, sewn into the zipper stitching under the bed instead. These will be an easy target for our dog to chew and likely tear the microfiber cover in the process. She'd never know they were there if they were safely tucked under the bed, out of sight. On the whole, though, the bed is very supportive! And she likes it a lot, including the pillow. I would think most dogs would love laying/sleeping on it!! I can particularly see how it would be a very useful bed for older dogs. I wish we would have had one for our nearly 11 year old lab who passed last year. Read more

Let me start this out saying that I love the Big Barker company and their beds are the reason my German shepherd mix I adopted doesn’t have as much hip pain anymore so I am forever grateful for them!! I am only writing this to help others make a decision as I know I was years ago. My dog had her first accident on her big barker after she had a cancerous mass removal done. I took off the cover and the liner and the foam did indeed smell like urine so I’m gonna have to say the waterproof liner is not 100% waterproof. Overall I would never let this deter you from getting a big barker bed, they are the most incredible beds for my dogs. Read more
