Basic Coatings Squeaky Cleaner Concentrate Hardwood Floor Cleaner No Residue Cleans tough dirt and grease 1 gal

We have a house full of wood flooring. We had it installed before we moved in 2007. We began cleaning the floors with Bona wood floor cleaner using a microfiber flat mop. The Bona made the floors look clean with a polished shine. After a number of years using Bona the sticky build up left by the residue that isn't supposed to be in Bona was all over the floor. It sounded like we were walking on tack paper. We've used Murphy Oil Soap, Bissell floor cleaner...several more and all of them create the tacky surface. We have had our floors professionally cleaned several times only to return to tackville soon after the cleaning. I now own an Electrolux B-8 floor scrubber and thought I could just use anything and rinse..so I did...tackville...then I came upon mention of Basic Coatings "Squeaky" concentrated wood floor cleaner. The directions say to dilute one part Squeaky into four parts water. I chose to dilute 8 parts water to one part Squeaky. I used a spray bottle and the B-8...clean (scrub) a small section (could use a microfiber flat mop eithout a scrubber and get great results)...wipe with a microfiber flat mop...move on. I change the mop heads often and the "Squeaky" dries quickly as it is designed to do...the floor is clean as clean can be...zero residue...zero...no rinse...8:1 dilution, floor scrubber, wipe with microfiber flat mop let dry...this is the cleanest our floors have been since they were installed...better than the professional cleaning (at $750) ...once the floors are clean a microfiber flat mop and spray bottle of Squeaky can be used to maintain the floors. We scrub and wipe quarterly, if needed, otherwise biannually...once it dries the floors are clean...one can walk around the house in white socks without them being soiled at all. From our experience this stuff..."Squeaky"....is truly remarkable. There is not any floor cleaner we've used that does not leave any residue..they all leave a residue except for Squeaky. Btw...vinegar and water is hard on finish...kinda clouds the floor's finish...but...there is no residue from vinegar and water....get "Sqeaky" it absolutely cleans floors..no residue...none...and it's not hard on the finish...excellent excellent stuff Read more

Best hardwood floor cleaner I have ever used! We bought an eight year old home with hardwood floors and the floors were filthy, tacky feeling and dull. We tried several products and within a day the floors looked dull and lifeless again. I called a hardwood floor refinisher and questioned him on what I should use to clean the floors until we could get them refinished. The refinisher said he would never use anything but Sqeaky on his floors. In desperation I bought it and hoped it wouldn’t completely ruin the hardwood floors. My floors look amazing!
