I'm 5'1". I think my inseam is 28" (could be 27"). 29-ish inch waist. Size XS fit me just barely. The waistband is just barely small enough to fit me, and the length hits right around my ankles. I also ordered size S, and that was definitely too big. Also, the inseam on size S was about 1.5" longer than XS. The fabric is nicer looking than regular sweatpants (it's a tightly woven stretchy fabric, not knit) but does make a swishy sound as it rubs against itself. The fit is quite loose. Today received my fig XL pants which look burgundy to me. They are stretchy in all directions & a lightweight but sturdy fabric. I find that I am always getting too hot in jeans now that I am 69. Have been advised that when you get older your temperature regulation does not work as well as when you were younger. So you are supposed to dress in lighter weight fabrics & layer. I already own 5 pairs of bass womens' pants that I just love for working in my yard when it is hot & buggy out. So I knew that XL was the size I wore in Bass womens' pants. They fit perfectly. My previously purchased 5 pairs had mesh panels which worked out great in the summer heat & spring & fall. So I was looking for more of those & found these. This style has the special lower right side zip pocket & the normal height pockets are open & large & deep which I actually prefer over the in seam zipper pockets on my other 5 pairs because it becomes tiring to keep unzipping them although you won't lose anything out of them. These have the one lower right pocket in the outer seam with an in seam zipper to secure it. Even the pockets are stretchy. The encased elastic waist is great for me as are the encased elastic ankles. You won't get a toe caught in the other pant leg when walking barefoot or with sandals which happens to me once in awhile. There is also a little tie in the encased elastic waist to tighten up the waist if need be. Maybe someday I will be able to use it. Hope springs eternal. A very good buy on a high quality pant. And did I mention that water rolls off them & that they are machine washable & dry quickly? Finally these are a burgundy like wine & whoever thinks this is purple needs their eyes checked out. Look at the photo of a lady wearing them in the reviews which is an accurate depiction of the actual color on my phone anyway. Thanks Bass! Me again as I returned and bought 3 pairs in black (not available when I bought the fig) and I only bought 3 as there was a limit of 3. I love them and hope in time that I can get the dark gold color yet. After reading the reviews to date I have to describe the fabric more for others. It is a tightly woven not shiny polyester that stretches all ways. I really love the very deep pockets of the same fabric inside as well that easily holds my phone. You can even put change in your pocket and not loose it. I have 4 cats and they cannot grab me with a paw as I walk by. No snags whatsoever. This fabric will not shrink. Read more
Read the reviews about these being too long and immediately bought them for a steal. I am 5’10” and usually wear a 12/14 long from gap/old navy. Got the first pair and then ordered more in a large. My new favorite stretchy, totally opaque pants for errands, working on my house, etc. Read more
These are wonderful casual pants made by Bass, so you expect their merchandise to be top quality, and these pants are, with a few little exceptions. I'm 5'2", and I expect things to be too long for me, but these are way too long. I love the cuffs, but there's no easy way to shorten these pants. I ordered my usual size, and the pants are much too big for me. I'm not even sure they'd stay up if I wore them outside the house. It's worth noting that these pants don't have a size chart on their page, and the listing information says they're machine washable but says nothing else about the pants. Mostly the listing information is about the history of Bass and the quality of their products, which I agree is excellent, but a size chart would've been great. I also have a problem with the color, which is described as "fig." I thought that would be a very deep purple/brown color, but it's just purple. That's the only color these pants were available in, so that's what I ordered. Assuming I were four to six inches taller and I'd ordered down a size, these would be great pants, if you like purple pants. I always like to avoid comparisons to Barney the Dinosaur. These are very well made pants with beautiful stitching, elastic cuffs, two side pockets, an elastic waistband with a drawstring, and 100% polyester fabric. These aren't sweatpants by strict definition since they aren't made of fuzzy, soft fabric. This is a good product, and, if there had been a size chart given, I wouldn't have a pair of nice pants that I can't wear because they're way too long and much too big. The color isn't what it looks like on my computer, at least, and there's really very little information about the pants in the listing information; it's mostly about the history of Bass products. These are machine washable, and I'm tempted to wash them and toss them in the dryer to see if they'd shrink, but I don't know about that. This is a very nice pair of pants, but, since there's no size chart available and very little information about the pants, I ordered a pair of these pants that's much too big and much too long on me, and I hate seeing these well made, expensive pants be something I can't wear.
