I’m a hairstylist, I volunteer at a couple local Nursing Home salons on the side, & I ordered this BATCI Wax Hair Texturizing Powder, for my volunteer work, & the quality is fantastic! It comes in a 0.7 oz bottle with a pump, the pump functions wonderfully. It’s easy to use, simply pull off the cap, and pump a small amount, focusing on the roots, and use your fingertips to lightly distribute the powder. I initially thought I had to unscrew the cap, and didn’t realize that it just pops off, & I ended up unscrewing the pump, which made a mess. I feel it’s worth noting, in order to prevent others from making the same mistake that I did. With that said, this wax texture powder is very lightweight, & works incredibly well on short to medium hair. It doesn’t have any noticeable scent or smell to it, which is really nice. It is buildable, so I recommend starting with a very small amount, because it doesn’t take much at all, a little goes a very long way, & it doesn’t leave behind any residue whatsoever. It’s slightly tacky, has a medium hold, with a matte finish. It’s super easy to use, makes the hair easy to manage and style, & adds an excellent amount of volume. It’s a very effective styling option for my clients that don’t like hairspray, and want their hairstyles to hold, & last all day. It also works incredibly well on the few clients that I have who want their styles to last for a week, which takes a lot of hairspray, however, I don’t have to use as much hairspray, & their styles holdup a lot better. If using the powder in conjunction with hairspray, I recommend applying the powder first, and only using hairspray as a finishing step, but hairspray is by no means necessary for an all day hold. Overall, it functions and performs incredibly well, & I couldn’t be more pleased! At the time of this review, it’s priced at $19.99, & has a 12% off promotional coupon. I ordered this texturizing powder for my son, and he uses it to add volume to his medium-length hair. It comes in a small bottle with a pump dispenser and looks and feels like dry shampoo. The finish is natural and matte. It also helps control oil, so his hair doesn’t look flat later in the day. The hold is light to medium and lasts most of the day for casual styles. It’s easy to apply and lightweight, with no visible residue if not overused. There is a scent but not overpowering. The price is high for the amount you get. Read more
