Do not recommend for a house with pets. The hair collects on them and they are very hard to clean. They feel good under foot and are great for creating a non-slip bathroom. There is a rubber lining on the bottom. They are not absorbent, at least not like a fabric mat. They look more like a front door mat. This is a really nice set, but just not meant for our needs. If it works for you, they go on sale and the price is not bad for 3 because they feel very durable. They're just 'okay'. I put them in a bathroom that's utilized by guest because it is fairly low maintenance. They look kinda cheap and pick up any little bit of lint you can imagine which is very visible. They are very thin, you'll feel the cold floor so be warned. They are slip resistant, think of the backing of a mouse pad, which these reminded me of immediately. Overall, they are okay. Great size for a smaller bathroom, and colors fit a more modern theme.
